The US is about 3 to 5 years away from being able to export shale gas to Europe, but nothing's more likely to speed up the required infrastructure build than a screaming need from Europe. However this seems a little suspect to say this was the drive behind the Ukraine break up, taking Crimea is one thing but how would they have known Putin'll stop there, assuming he does that is.

Shell are already ditching some of their shale gas land purchses in the US.Production predicted to fall. The US surplus of gas got used this winter. & LNG plants take a while to construct.

The telegraph ( print ) reported that the UK is gets 15 % of is gas from Russia.

If Scotland gets independence where does that leave the rest of us re gas supply.

Sabateurs Cameron & Hague ? If nothing else the price will shoot up. Who has invested in futures contracts ? Is it Israel & the gang ?
