A 'beloved pop star', one of the 'world's most famous' musicians, is said to have 'sexually abused a 10-year-old boy', reports the UK media on 3 February 2014.

The police are examining a number of witness statements which allege sex assaults by the singer.

Meanwhile, it is being reported that the police hushed up the fact that when Sir Jimmy Savile first visited Duncroft School he was accompanied by 'his friend' Princess Alexandra, a patron of the school.

Savile reportedly sexually abused girls at the Duncroft School.

So the police blacked out talk of Savile's Princess pal

The Strange Story of Joe Meek (Arena 1991)

Meek's other hits include "Don't You Rock Me Daddy-O"

Meek & Screeming Lord Sutch who suffered from depression & was laterly attacked by "feminists" of the sort that inhabit the BBC.

Screaming Lord Sutch - "Smoke and fire"

Meek went on to set up his own production company known as RGM Sound Ltd (later Meeksville Sound Ltd) with toy importer, Major Wilfred Alonzo Banks as his financial backer. He operated from his home studio which he constructed at 304 Holloway Road, Islington, a three-floor flat above a leather-goods store.

A privately manufactured "black plaque" (designed to ape the official blue plaque) has since been placed at the location of the studio to commemorate Meek's life and work.

Meek was obsessed with the occult and the idea of "the other side". He would set up tape machines in graveyards in a vain attempt to record voices from beyond the grave, in one instance capturing the meows of a cat he claimed was speaking in human tones, asking for help.

Meek's homosexuality – illegal in the UK at the time – put him under further pressure; he had been convicted of "importuning for immoral purposes" in 1963 and fined £15: he was consequently subject to blackmail.[6] In January 1967, police in Tattingstone, Suffolk, discovered a suitcase containing the mutilated body of Bernard Oliver. According to some accounts, Meek became concerned that he would be implicated in the murder investigation when the Metropolitan Police said they would be interviewing all known homosexual men in the city

Joe Meek ~ BBC doc & interview (1964)

Some very interesting comments for this video:

I remember working with Heinz before he died who told he was arrested as he used the shot gun when he was hunting, and gave it back to Joe who putt it away, Joe thought he was being watched and followed, but as the story goes on that day he had an argument with is landlady also Joes friend was there who was arrested and charged with the two murders, but later he was released and the charges dropped, the big record companys did not like Joe, but the case was left open,"

He did throughout his life - even back in Newent, when he made the sound effects for the local amateur dramatic societies and repaired electrical items for neighbours, he was obsessively secretive about his methods. I have often wondered what he was about to say at the end of the interview before he checks himself and smiles. ", I had a .....!" My guess is he is referring to placing a bug in his studio to monitor their conversations, something he did on a regular basis"

Apparently when he first heard a young unknown guy called Rod Stewart sing he ran out of the studio with his hands over his ears!.....Im liking Joe the more I learn about him!"
