Carl Jung and family

According to Carl Jung: "We all must do what Christ did. We must make our experiment.

"We must make mistakes. We must live out our own version of life.

"And there will be error. If you avoid error you do not live."

The Psychotherapist & Self Acceptance.

According to the Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung, there is a 'dark side' to all our personalities.

Think of anger, greed, fear and lust.

This 'dark side', or 'shadow', is usually hidden within our 'subconscious'.

The 'dark side' or 'shadow' should not be seen as necessarily always 'evil'.

For example, there would be no marriages or children without there being a little 'lust'.

It is extreme or out-of-control lust that is evil.

If we get angry about injustice, that is no bad thing, so long as we remain rational and do not go berserk.

Essential Secrets of Psychotherapy: What is the "Shadow" by Stephen A. Diamond, Ph.D.

Jesus appears to have had his 'shadow'.

Jesus faced temptations in the desert.

He cursed the fig tree.

The Psychology of Jesus — Chapter 3 — David McKenna

Our rulers want us to be excessively angry, greedy, frightened and lustful so as to control us.

However, there is also a 'good side' to all of us.

Fr. John A. Sanford, in his 1970 book The Kingdom Within, sees Jesus's instruction "love your enemies" as an attempt to help us deal with all the parts of the whole, the 'dark side' and the 'good side', without hurting anyone.

Professor Wallace Clift has looked at Jung's view of humanity as "a story of developing consciousness".

Clift sees this as being similar to Jesus's idea of the 'Holy Spirit' working to improve us.

Jung called the 'dark side' the 'Shadow' and he reckoned that it comes from our animal ancestors.

Jung wrote: ‘"The shadow is that hidden, repressed, for the most part inferior and guilt-laden personality whose ultimate ramifications reach back into the realm of our animal ancestors and so comprise the whole historical aspect of the unconscious."

When the 'dark side' emerges, for example in a War I or in a divorce, many people look for scapegoats.

We demonise our enemy.

There is a tendency to blame everything that goes wrong on Moslems or Jews or Blacks or Gays or Gypsies.

Most people deny their 'shadow', unconsciously 'projecting' it onto others so as to avoid confronting it in oneself.

Essential Secrets of Psychotherapy: What is the "Shadow" by Stephen A. Diamond, Ph.D.

Each of us should accept that we have a 'dark side' or 'shadow'.

The shadow is most dangerous when it is repressed and projected onto others.

When we will not acknowledge our dark side, we are at risk of becoming mentally ill and starting a war.

The 'saint' should acknowledge his or her 'dark side'.

Jekyll was saintly, but he hid and did not acknowledge his other side, Hyde, who was evil.

Jekyll's personality was split rather than whole.

Essential Secrets of Psychotherapy: What is the "Shadow" by Stephen A. Diamond, Ph.D.

When the CIA and its friends use their Monarch mind-control programme to brainwash children, they create in the children more than one personality.

One personality may the 'normal' personality and another may be the 'assassin' or sex slave'.

As mentioned above, the 'shadow' or 'dark side' contains positive some qualities.

Fear can be useful, if it keeps us safe.

Jung believed that most of us have lost touch with certain parts of our selves.

Jung believed that we should not try to be 'normal' because that means suppressing our real self, including the 'shadow'.

The healing of the disturbed person comes when they stop trying to be 'normal' and conformist.

We need to accept our 'shadow' and see that it involves some normal instincts and creative impulses.

Encyclopedia of Psychology and Religion (Springer Verlag, 2009) / Anger, Madness, and the Daimonic: The Psychological Genesis of Violence, Evil, and Creativity (SUNY Press, 1996) / Meeting the Shadow: The Hidden Power of the Dark Side of Human Nature (Tarcher/Putnam, 1991) - all by Stephen A. Diamond,

To be a good Christian you have to be fully aware of the 'shadow'.

Jesus asked us to consider our own faults, before we look at the faults of others.

Jesus had dinner with tax collectors and sinners.

Jesus had his difficult moments.

"And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet as you leave the house or town. Truly, I say to you, it shall be more tolerable on the day of judgement for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town...

"But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!...woe to you, blind guides...You blind fools!...You blind men!...You serpents, you brood of vipers, how are you to escape being sentenced to hell?"

Jesus was not necessarily kind to pigs or Greeks.

"The moment the evil spirits were cast into the pigs, they rushed headlong from the steep bank onto the lake and were drowned."

"The woman was a Greek ... she begged Jesus to drive the demons out of her daughter. 'First let the children eat all they want,' he told her, 'for it is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to the dogs.'"

Rejection of Pascal's Wager: The Personality of Jesus

Jesus did not claim to be perfect.

Jesus said: "Why do you call me good? No one is good - except God alone."

Carl Jung said: "On the cross his mission deserted him.

"But because he had lived so fully and devotedly he won through to the Resurrection body...

"It seems to me to be the Holy Spirit’s task and charge to reconcile and reunite the opposites in the human individual through a special development of the human soul."

I sometimes think the rule of karma is involved too. If you love your enemy and your enemy rejects that love it bounces back to you and rebounds into goodness.
So you have nothing to lose by loving.

Carl Jung was jewish kabbalist and donmeh frankist. So what can be good to say about him?

If anything, Jung's sympathies were with the Nazi party. There is an abundance of evidence for that. Let's not forget that Jung was a multi-millionaire. Giving spiritual alms to himself, came a lot easier than spreading a little of his actual material wealth--to the poverty-stricken

Our animal ancestors? I'm not related to that gabbling hybrid ape Darwin.Evolution? Sounds like a conspiracy theory to me and we all know about them!

@Christian - prove it.

Interesting that these lovely, life-sustaining articles (thanks, Aang) always stir up some hatred.

Doesn't Jung's Red Book express his spiritual awakening? I remember it being very beautiful.

What I find very interesting is initiation theory. A full life, including suffering and, importantly, creative expression leads to transfiguration. And yes, karma does have a lot to do with it. But to get there, it's best to move beyond the limitations of belief systems.

The negative comments reveal the dark side of the people who make the negative comments.

I suspect that these people are incapable of reading the article in full and making constructive and useful points.

THIS IS WHAT IT WAS ALL ABOUT!!! This what our brave lads fought (and tortured, and raped) for!

Nathaniel Rothschild’s Genel Energy Ready To Pump Oil From Kurdistan Via New Pipeline To Turkey

10 years, millions of dead, a country annihilated and an American load of depleted Uranium later! (but not a single weapon of Mass Destruction)

''As a key player in the region of Kurdistan, Genel Energy stands to do well the more successful Kurdistan becomes in continuing to establish itself as an entity separate politically from Iraq. With a long and complicated history of difficult relations with its Arab brethren in the rest of Iraq, it would surprise no one if eventually it should move beyond the proto-state it has already become to full independence at some point.''

Anngirfan... have ever heard the rumour Ahmed Chalabi, was meeting with The Rothschilds at their offices in London, just prior to the Iraq Invasion?

To all the brave men and women who bravely risked their life in Iraq... do you get a multi £100 million bonus too?

Brilliant as always
Thank you Aangirfan xx

Duality. Jung.
The infamous two way choice, the swing of the pendulum, inertia..
Active Tense Passive Tense.
Do or be done to.
Act or be acted upon.

Eve gave birth to Cain and Abel.
One killed. The other didn’t.
It was about motion.

On to the politicians.
What’s the function of the spectator sport of child torture at after parties? This phenomena is not about pleasure-seeking.
Who is acting? Who is being acted upon? Who set it up? For what purpose?

Regina Louw, Brussels. Children fed to dogs.
The eyes watching in the darkness.
The eyes of officers in the ranking system that controls the mass world group.

We know about the research and experiments carried out on human victims in laboratories.
And about shock and awe and trauma put into real time.
About dream states. About hypnosis. About Savile and Broadmoor.

Information trickles out slowly. A female MP, UK.
I ask myself what state of drunkenness was this ‘female MP’ in?
Was she put into it or did she pour out the poisoned drink herself?
Is she part of a secondary set of victims?
Who would believe her? She probably doesn’t believe herself.

A spectator in an audience can be attracted to participate in onstage action.
You were there. They’ve got the T-shirt.
You stay quiet. You go into the box of tools.

The greater public watching the spectacle/ debacle from the cheaper seats has to close down the entire theatre complex and create the conditions for safety for every single human regardless of race and creed.
A new construction is required. It involves careful disassembly and careful assembly.
The world is precious. And so are its peoples.
If it does not or can not act, it will continue to be acted upon.

The Greek version states that Jesus said

Father do not forgive them, they know what they are doing.

That sounds about right to me, Constantine's book had many flaws.

I think Jung plagiarized quite a bit of Buddhism. That is usually the case in the west, they just steal it and call it their own. It as a bit like calculus.

"Jesus did not claim to be perfect.

Jesus said: "Why do you call me good? No one is good - except God alone."

And he said:

"I and the Father are one.”

God is perfect, so Jesus is perfect also.

The Bible is his word, and it says: "But with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. "

cursed the fig tree: The system ,religious and governmental, had not been fruitful and was about to be done away with. Jerusalem had not discerned the day for her being inspected, and was told, "Look, your house is abandoned to you." If a fig tree was leafed out at that season, but did not have early figs, that meant it had what it needed, yet had quit producing fruit.
