Religion Means Pathway To Truth, Some Pathways Are A Long Winding Road

"The popular history of churchianity begins from 325 years after Christ, the 20th year of the reign of Constantine the Great, when the famous Council was convened at the City of Nicea.

"Those who have read the life of this august Roman Emperor will remember how remarkable was the character of this so called pious supporter of the church dogmas.

"He put to death his own son and his wife Fausta on groundless suspicion, cut off his brother-in-law Licinius and the unoffending son of Licinius and massacred everyone of his rivals.

"Nevertheless the Greek Church has canonized him, and adores the memory of St. Constantine.

"A bishop was kicked to death by another bishop in course of their arguments, and 137 corpses were left in a church to attest the convincing reasons by which the most ruffian side proved its orthodoxy.

"Such were the assemblies of saints who formed the pillars of the structure of Churchianity.

"We can easily imagine the nature of the guiding spirit of those councils, which established the creed of the church.

"From the beginning of the history of churches, down to the present day, freedom of thought and freedom of speech, that are the most essential characteristics of true religion, have been suppressed; and fanaticism, bigotry, curses, anathema, religious persecution, tortures of inquisition and diabolical crimes have been committed in the name of religion. Hatred, cruelty and fighting have reigned in the place of love, mercy, kindness, peace and goodwill..."

Religion means 'to re align', ie to reconnect to the divine. In other words these 'religious authorities' are saying that you are out of tune with the divine, and need them to re-align by using their methods, ie dogma.

Simply put this is mind control at it's finest. To tell someone that they must follow the dogma you dish out in order to be a 'person of the divine' is to have power over them.

This is nothing more than brainwashing through guilt, and not a real 'religious experience' whatsoever. We are always connected to 'the divine' wether we go to church or not. You are more likely to feel alive and in the prescence of the divine after a long walk in the nature, rather than listening to some old man of 'questionable motives' preaching to you in a dark and dingy musty old church!

What do you call one bishop kicking another bishop to death?

A good start!

Sorry, I was just momentarily possessed by the ghost of Diderot. But you can't hardly blame me - it's a graphic image isn't it? A bishop kicking another to death. It'd make a hell of a scene in a movie I reckon. Very Scorsese.

Thanks Aang, Thanks Mick.

best etc. etc.

Religion does not mean "re align". The word itself comes from Cicero's relegere ie to reread. And opposite of negligens ie neglectful meaning careful.

Te website you refereed to, well let me just refer you to this one.

That word Pathway, very CommonPurpose-esque in these days of sustainability :-)

Not related to the Liverpool Care Pathway is it? AKA EUthenasia for the elderly.

Pilgrims on the Pathway to Truth may stumble upon the New Testament Gnostic Apocryphal texts. The Mountain Man can shed some light on those texts. Here is a sampling of what the traveler will find:

Three New Ideas in the Field of Ancient History

Idea 1
The New Testament Gnostic Gospels and Acts, etc were authored by non Christian Platonists after the Council of Nicaea as a literary reaction to Constantine's Bible
and between the years of 325-336 CE - not between the years c.100-c.400 CE.

Idea 2
Platonists were victims of Christian indentity theft.
Arius of Alexandria was not a Christian presbyter
Arius of Alexandria was a Platonic theologian.
Arius is to be identified with Leucius Charinus

Idea 3
Constantine commissioned the fabrication of the New Testament Canon and its "history"

Thesis One
The New Testament Apocryphal texts were authored after 325 CE (Nicaea)

The New Testament Apocryphal texts were authored by non Christians after the Council of Nicaea as a Hellenistic satirical reaction to the NT Canon and represent the final voice of The Second Sophistic.
(1.2) The Signature of Greek Satire in more than 20 NT Apocrypha

Thesis TWO
The author of the New Testament Apocrypha texts was (a non-christian) Arius of Alexandria.

Heathenism is a religion too. How many heathens have murdered other heathens?
