Child abuser Sir Jimmy Savile with his friend Mick Starkey, a West Yorkshire police inspector
On 20 September 2013, we learn that, in the UK, the 'child-abuse police' have reduced the number of their senior officers.
The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) works across the UK 'tackling child sex abuse'.
CEOP's deputy chief executive, Andy Baker, has admitted the organisation has got rid of some of its most experienced officers.

CEOP is set to merge with the National Crime Agency on 7 October, becoming the fourth "command" unit alongside economic crime, organised crime and the border police.
Jim Gamble quit when the merger was announced in 2010 over concerns CEOP would lose its independence. At the time, he claimed the move was "not in the interests of children".

Hullo Aang,
I want to take you to task for your ill-thought out headline to this piece - Police try not to catch child abusers - particularly the use of the word 'try'.
This implies half-heartedness and is effectively a slur against the British police force. How can you say British police 'try' not to catch child abusers when in fact they succeed brilliantly! Over and over again!
When it comes to not catching child abusers the British police are world's best practice, easily up there with the best police forces in the US, Canada, and Australia.
Will you please in future give credit where credit is due and not paint the British police as half-arsed amateurs. They are a professional force and very good at what they are tasked to do.
yours aye etc. etc.

Hello anon?.. i think. I love this website i really do but can you please talk about the elite and police rings in the u.s. if you could? it would be very beneficial to many here.
People should watch this BBC documentary "Sex Crimes and the Vatican" https://vimeo.com/654677
After you've watch this documentary you'll realize just how many evil people there are in this world especially in the hierarchy, myself personally is thoroughly disgusted that this wickedness is allowed to continue, these sickos will never ever change!
Nobody does it better
To the Anonymous defender of police - do yourself a favor and don't put the American and Canadian police on a pedestal. I am American, and a survivor of this govt. junk. Due to this, I have many Canadian friends who are survivors as well. The police make it their extra special duty (over here) to cover up the crimes of the sex rings. I can't speak for the British police, but if you are trying to compliment them on their outstanding job - I'd leave American and Canadian police out of your top three list. The only people who will EVER be thrown under the bus are the little fish. It serves to keep the angry masses at bay while allowing the big fish to continue to rampage the helpless.
Er... Nikki,
You seeem to have missed the point. Read my comment again, particularly the third para, and particularly the word 'not'. Then you'll realise I was being satirical.
best etc. etc.
Dear Anonymous,
I did look at it a couple times and thought maybe it was satirical. I'm sorry for going total "pit bull" on you. I don't like responding that way, and it showed that I obviously have some bitterness, and that's not healthy. For whatever reason, cops are probably my sorest spot. It's clear I have some unresolved stuff there.
I hope you have a blessed day, And, again, I'm sorry.
Sincerely,
Nikki
