"For YOU to be here now trillions of drifting atoms had somehow to assemble in an intricate and curiously obliging manner to create you."

Thus writes Bill Bryson in his A Short History of Nearly Everything.

Bill Bryson looks at the bigger picture.

Bill Bryson writes: "they are mindless particles, after all, and not even themselves alive."

We like Bill Bryson (aangirfan: 1950s AMERICA - FEUDAL AND FASCIST / aangirfan: Americanisation).

But, we note that he makes no mention of David Bohm or Karl Pribram.

A hydrogen atom and its constituent particles: an example an over-simplified way of looking at things.

Implicate and explicate order according to David Bohm.

Physicist David Bohm believes that life and consciousness are present in varying degrees in all matter, including supposedly inanimate matter such as atoms.

He suggests that evolutionary developments do not emerge in a random fashion. ("David Bohm and the Implicate Order" by David Pratt)

Standford neurophysiologist Karl Pribram believes in the holographic nature of reality.

Every part of a hologram contains all the information possessed by the whole.

Bill Bryson writes about the 'miracle of life'.

"The atoms that so liberally and congenially flock together to form living things on Earth are exactly the same atoms that decline to do it elsewhere...

"Atoms are so numerous and necessary that we easily overlook that they needn't actually exist at all.

"There is no law that requires the universe to fill itself with small particles or matter or to produce light and gravity and the other properties on which our existence hinges.

"There needn't actually be a universe at all...

"The average species on Earth lasts for only about four million years, so if you wish to be around for billions of years, you must be as fickle as the atoms that made you.

"You must be prepared to change everything about yourself - shape, size, colour, species, affiliation, everything - and to do so repeatedly."

aaah the miracle of life.
That is the mystery and the sacred and the sublime and the divine.....

I personally (being female) love the writings of a gifted Irish woman & author, Sarah Ban Breathnach.

She wrote many wonderful books, one being "Something More-excavating your authentic self."

It seems kinda simple and silly, but I reflected a lot on something she wrote: scared and sacred are the same except for where the 'c' for courage is.

And that is a huge truth, at the end of my reflections and strivings, altho in reality, it is never the end.

The odd and genius desert fathers knew that the universe was a unified field- a buzz of energy....
the centre of God is EVERYWHERE and the circumference of God is NOWHERE.

I get so cross with people who belittle 'believers' with the story of the man with the white beard in the sky.

We who have done all the hard yards of many years of 'questing' (and even that is a privilege and a blessing), being talked down to by the turkeys in the barnyard of life. LOL.

When unschooling my kids - this was the one book that they had to read.
The only compulsory reading.

I loved it and so did they.

once after doing yoga for hours on acid I laid to rest and heard the song of atoms within. kinda like the sounds of stars and such I assume. jill bolte taylor describes a similar auditory experience in relation to her stroke:

I have also deconditioned my eyes so that I can see the blood vessels on them (purkinje trees).

the internal space is as exciting as the external. like,

I'm getting into consciousness beginning on a cellular level, the lowest level being between two cells, but why not it begins on the atom level? that being the lowest level of consciousness between two atoms & why they "clump" together to form cells, if they could explain why they do this they wouldn't be able to explain why they do it, resulting in their combined "highest" level of consciousness being the human ["followers" need not apply for this level]

Does this mean I have to wear a dress?

No. But think of how grand you'd look in a kilt!

I am told the Mason's stone at Denver International Airport is inscribed with

everything is inter-related
nothing happens by accident
things are not as they seem

These are Universal Truths, known to the desert fathers.

Science to day does not have all the answers, much as some pseudo scientists say it does.

Science was never going to replace God, because God (ultimate reality) is infinite.

Now we are starting to see how the 'elite' have withheld knowledge that has been freely available throughout the Ages.

That is Freedom: and they will kill anyone that pronounces it.
That is the on-going theme and fact of life: Crucifixion of Truth and Love.

shape-shifting reptilians.
Now there is a concept.

just looking at the royals gives me the cold blooded shivering creeps

But some of them wear nice clothes.

the outfit the Queen wore on the riverboat trip took one year to plan, design and make.

Who would not look like 'royalty', given such luxury.

As a kid, and to this day, I adore the 'fairy tale' of the Emperor's New Clothes.

Someone knew the score, right there and then!

Su yours is the greater privilege, in unschooling your kids.

My kids loathe my Christianity, and say that until I change, I will not see them.

They went deeply into the sex drugs and rock 'n' roll....throughout which I never, not for one moment, abandoned them.

Their father is a military man.
He was never home, and when he was, it was like a war zone.

I was 'their world', because there was no one else.

Now, there is a tiny new bundle of Pure Spirit, and I can only keep on praying, wishin' hopin' and dreamin'.
