The Mail on Sunday reckons that "the hacked emails from the University of East Anglia were leaked via a web server in the formerly closed city of Tomsk in Siberia."

A Russian hacking specialist says "There is no hard evidence that the hacking was done from Tomsk."

Computer hackers in Tomsk have been used in the past by the Russian secret service.
