According to the Daily record, 17 December 2007, (Ex-MSP Tommy Sheridan Charged With Perjury) :

Plain clothes officers stopped Sheridan's car as he left radio station Talk 107 after his weekly show in Edinburgh.

"At the same time, police raided his house in Glasgow and, according to his solicitor, placed his wife Gail under 'house arrest'.

Sheridan said the police operation had been heavy handed' and used 'very scarce resources of nine officers when all they had to do was lift a telephone and ask me to come to the station'.
