Glasgow Airport attack

How might a terror attack be arranged?

"A group is infiltrated and radicalized by a government informant and provocateured into attempting terror attacks." -

Who, reportedly, organises the terror attacks?

"Starting from at least the 1980's, SAS and British military intelligence agents were routinely ordered to embed themselves within violent branches of the IRA and aid terrorists in carrying out attacks. How do we know this happened? Because one of the individuals who was ordered to do so, Kevin Fulton, blew the whistle on the fact that he was told he had the Prime Minister's blessing to aid terrorists in bomb making and political assassinations."

Why, reportedly, do the security services carry out acts of terror?

In the case of Ireland, the idea was (1) to get the two sides (IRA and Protestant extremists) to wipe each other out (2) to discredit the idea of Northern Ireland breaking free from the UK. Similar tactics were used by the UK military in former colonies such as Kenya and Malaya.

Why might elements of the security services want to carry out attacks at this particular time?

1. Gordon Brown has brought some anti-Iraq-War people into his government. Elements of the security services might want to send a message to Brown that he must continue to support Bush and Israel.

2. Terror attacks will make it easier for Brown to reduce people's freedoms.

3. The Lockerbie case could further discredit the CIA and America. Several newspapers have published the evidence pointing to the possibility that the CIA brought down PanAm flight 103 over Lockerbie. Terror attacks can distract from Lockerbie.

4. The new SNP government in Scotland has proved popular with much of the Scottish public. The US and London governments are opposed to the SNP policy of Scottish independence. A terror attack in Scotland can undermine the SNP.

Yep, it's pretty easy. You could even pay people, say a couple of million each, to carry out a fake attack against, promising a few years in prison at most or a trial geared up to collapse for lack of evidence.

In anycase, as Mike Rivero on What Really Happened points out -- there was no car bomb, because the explosion didn't result in a shredded car as it would have done had if it had been for real. He points out the roof remained intact, so it was obviously not much of an attack if at all.

Interestingly Alex Salmond on the BBC BBC 5 o clock news today (1/7/07) made avery large point that none of the perps were frae bonnie Scotland and appeared to have been recently imported.

It makes sense of course acting "undercover", for 2 Asians to rent a small place in a small Scots village and run about in amodest Cherokee 4 X 4 jeep.

Blend into the landscape - especially if they ate porridge.
