Be Happy

Americans and Brits worry about status. They get ill.

Over one quarter of Americans have been mentally ill in the past 12 months; half will do so in their lifetime, according to Oliver James.

Poor people in South East Asia, who know their status is low and who accept it, are capable of being tremendously happy and mentally well. They do not have cars and big houses. But they do have friends and a sense of fun.

The purpose of life is to be happy; not to be famous; not to be 'in love' with some beautiful person or thing.
