At Princeton, Donald Rumsfeld was the roommate of Carlyle Chairman Emeritus Frank Carlucci. http://www.waynemadsenreport.com/

In 1975, Donald Rumsfeld became President Ford's White House Chief of Staff. http://quest.cjonline.com/stories/122900/gen_1229007578.shtml

In 1953, a CIA officer, Frank Olson, died in suspicious circumstances. It has been suggested that Donald Rumsfeld was, in 1975, involved in a cover-up of the events surrounding the death. The Guardian

During his time as Reagan's Special Envoy to the Middle East (November 1983 – May 1984), Rumsfeld was the person who supplied American military intelligence, hardware and strategic advice to Saddam Hussein.

Rumsfeld sat on the board of ABB from 1990 to 2001. ABB is a European engineering firm based in Switzerland. In 2000 this company sold two light water nuclear reactors to KEDO for installation in North Korea. Donald Rumsfeld - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Close this school down and sack the education chiefs.

Some UK state schools are doing such a bad job that they should be closed down immediately.

Collingwood College in Camberley in Surrey is one of those that should be closed down immediately.

And many education chiefs should be sacked, beginning with those working for Surrey County Council.

At Collingwood College, Natashia Jackman, 16, was attacked with a pair of scissors and nearly blinded (ITV.com 6 November 2006 : School slammed over scissors attack)

Natashia Jackman, 16, was the victim of relentless bullying.

Natasha said the school failed to stop the bullying and even made her feel she was to blame.

A survey conducted by the charity, Bullying Online shows that seven out of ten pupils have been bullied at school.

The survey, of 8,500 children, parents and teachers, showed two thirds of those bullied were sometimes afraid to go to school as a result and more than half said teachers failed to stop bullying after it was reported to them.

Natasha's mother Candace listed the abuse she suffered as "spitting on her, throwing rocks at her, following her home from school, taunting her, threatening her, tripping her up as she walked between classes, pushing her downstairs".

Her father said the family repeatedly reported incidents to the school but after initial positive steps, the authorities appeared to "wash their hands of the problem".

A spokesman for Surrey County Council said: "The school's record on bullying is exemplary. It was an isolated case that nobody could reasonably have predicted."

Two girls involved in the attack were sentenced on Friday to 12 month community orders after being convicted of perverting the course of justice.

We know some British teenagers who do not know the name of the capital city of their own country. They can barely read and write.

Yet they are of average intelligence.

British state schools are bad and getting worse. Many should be closed down.

A re-think of education is required.

All schools should be run privately by non-profit making trusts.

All schools should be small.

The school day should be about 3 hours.

The school leaving age should be around 12.

Much more use should be made of apprenticeships, learning by computer, and 'special' schools.

BBC 1 television should show educational programmes only.

Mothers of young children should stay at home and not go out to work.

According to an article in the Daily Mail, 1 June 2006, more than half of school leavers have problems with the basics:

Hundreds of thousands of teenagers have such poor mastery of the three Rs they cannot scrape a grade C in the two subjects employers and parents regard as crucial.

They are finishing compulsory schooling without the literacy and numeracy skills they need to "participate in life, learning and work" despite a raft of multi-billion pound Labour initiatives...

And the inability of pupils to get good grades comes despite widespread suspicions that exams have been dumbed down in recent years...

Forty-two per cent of pupils finished 11 years of compulsory education without achieving at least a grade C in GCSE English which means they struggle to read and summarise information accurately or use basic grammar...

Forty-eight per cent - or 301,671 - failed to reach the same standard in GCSE maths meaning they are unable to calculate the area of a room.

A total of 54 per cent - nearly 350,000 - fail to achieve the expected level in both English and maths. The official exams watchdog, the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), says pupils need to meet grade C standard - so-called "level two" - to function as citizens...

Just 46 per cent leave school able to read, write and add up properly.

A three hour school day; a school leaving age of 12

The 1819 Factory Act in the UK limited the working day for children in cotton mills.

What we need now is a Schools Act limiting the school day to three hours.

I would suggest that school hours could be 9 am to 12 noon.

Very few children can concentrate on school work for more than 3 hours per day.

When children are not at school they can enjoy being children.

Interests will vary:

1. Children can work at home or in libraries on interesting homework projects. It would help if every child was given a computer.

2. They can join clubs involved in everything from sport to music to carpentry to journalism ....

3. They can become apprentices in safe and interesting occupations.

4. They can explore their world.Mothers of younger children will be able to spend more time with their offspring.

'She's being a total Kelly' wrote Zoe Williams, in the 14 June 2005 Guardian.

Former UK Education Secretary Ruth Kelly wants children to be at school from 8am to 6pm.

An official at the Department for Education and Skills stated: "If we want parents to go out to work to support the family, the days of schools simply being open from 9am to 3pm are over."

Zoe Williams writes: "8 till 6 is a bloody long day."

"The Americans," said Jean, "support dictatorships and mafias all around the world, so long as they were good for the narco-military-industrial complex."

"Have the Americans got economic interests here?"

"Who ran the brothels in Cuba? Who brought AIDS to Haitian children. Babylon! Uncle Sam. The Great Satan. Where do the Americans get their baseballs from?"

"Most baseballs are made in Haiti by American companies. The factory girls get about $1.40 a day. They get injured arms and eyes."

"Is it only baseballs?"

"The Americans control the bauxite, sugar and sisal. It's like Cuba before Castro."

"Is it always slave wages?"

"You know Walt Disney?""Fun people."

"They have contractors here who make Micky Mouse clothes. The factory girls get 8 pence an hour. You can't live on that. Then Wal-mart sells the Pocahontas pyjamas for $11-97."

Emmanuel "Toto" Constant has explained that he worked for the CIA in Haiti.

Haiti militiaman ordered to pay £10m for rapes
Guardian, 27 October 2006

Constant was the leader of Fraph, a rightwing paramilitary group.

He worked against Jean-Bertrand Aristide.

In the USA, in October 2006, Constant was ordered to pay $19m (£10m) in damages to three women who had been gang-raped by members of his militia.

A US district judge Sidney Stein ruled that the women were each entitled to $1.5m in compensatory damages and $5m in punitive damages.

The judge said Constant "founded and oversaw an organisation that was dedicated principally towards terrorising and torturing political opponents..."

Constant is in jail on Long Island awaiting trial on unrelated charges. He told CBS's 60 Minutes in 1995: "If I am guilty of those crimes ... the CIA is also guilty."

The source for the following is:

Francois Emmanuel "Toto" Constant

According to Constant, the US military attaché and the local CIA station chief were inside the Haitian military headquarters when the army staged its coup in '91.

Constant has stated that Col. Patrick Collins, of the U. S. Defense Intelligence Agency, pushed him to organize a front that could balance the Aristide movement and do intelligence work against it. This resulted in Constant forming what evolved into FRAPH in August 1993. Who Will Rid Me of this Turbulent Priest?

From 1993-1994, Constant was the leader of the FRAPH death squad which reportedly murdered hundreds of Haitians...

Constant claims that he was part of covert American policy to undermine the exiled President Aristide, who was viewed as too radical by the United States.

NATO bombs kill scores of Afghan civilians

26 October 2006

According to Reuters, local leaders in Afghanistan state that NATO planes killed at least 50 civilians, mostly women and children, in bombing in southern Afghanistan on 24 October 2006.

"It was late at night - that might be the reason they didn't know where to bomb," said provincial assembly member Agha Lalai.

Visiting the wounded in hospital, tribal elder Naik Mohammad said 60 civilians had died.

Villagers also said 60 died, dozens were wounded and 25 houses razed in 4-5 hours of bombing.

The British

The British

In one part of the UK, between 1996 and 2004, the rate of alcohol-related emergency hospital admissions rose by 40% for men.

In another part of the UK, during the last 12 years, there was a 215% increase in the number of prescriptions for anti-depressants.

What is going wrong?

Oliver James, 23 October 2006 in The Guardian, explained that New Labour's love of money is the root of all our troubles.

Oliver James blames Blair and Thatcher.

"By perpetuating Thatcherite selfish capitalism, Blatcherism has spread the affluenza virus. Small wonder that some of its key proponents are suffering from mental illnesses."

Is it just love of money?

What about the loss of faith in Britain as a respectable country in which to live?

Think of the failures of Britain's institutions: think of the lies and violence that ooze from the mainstream media; think of the killings of innocent civilians by the military and the police; think of the corruption within government; think of the breakdown of discipline in schools....

What are the solutions?

1. The best way to stay happy and healthy is to get some exercise! Get on your bike or go for a walk. Sing a happy song Un Nouveau Jour va se lever !

2. Switch off the TV when the news comes on. Watch a good comedy video.

3. Never again vote Labour or Conservative. Kick out the war criminals.

4. Remember that there are still some good things about Britain: Polish dentists, Indian restaurants, French footballers...

Kids getting exercise

Here is part of the article on Thomas Mann which Google seems to object to:

According to Gilbert Adair, Mann was not the first writer to be attracted to Adzio. "At a wedding of one of his aunts- for which, as garcon d'honneur, he was turned out in lace of a fetchingly creamy blanc d'ivoire- the six year-old Adzio caught the eye of Henryk Sienkiewicz, the ...Nobel Prize winning author of....Quo Vadis. Leaving the church in his landau, the doting Sienkiewicz insisted that the infant come perch upon his knees, only hurriedly to offload him when he discovered that his Tiepolesque seraph had peed down the leg of his morning suit."

George Tenet, Tony Blair, David Cameron, the bin Ladens and Qinetiq

According to The Guardian, 25 October 2006, ex-CIA chief George Tenet, is to join the board of UK company Qinetiq, which is partly owned by the Carlyle Group.

The Carlyle Group has links to the Bush family and the bin Ladens.

According to The Guardian:

'Qinetiq, the British defence and security technology company privatised this year, has appointed George Tenet - the CIA chief at the time of 9/11 - a board member...'

The company was spun out of the Ministry of Defence's research laboratory.

It will now develop closer links with US intelligence 'and take advantage of the boom in national security technology'.

'The MoD was criticised for its controversial £1.3bn flotation of the company in February, which made tens of millions of pounds for the chairman, Sir John Chisholm, and chief executive, Graham Love.

'Before the flotation, the government came under fire for selling part of the Farnborough-based company too cheaply. The Carlyle Group, a US venture capital company, bought 34% for £42m in 2003 and sold around half of that stake for £160m - about eight times what it paid. The Ministry of Defence remains the biggest shareholder, with 19%. Carlyle holds 10%.'

The Sunday Mirror speculated that Tony Blair would join the Carlyle Group.

The bin Laden family and the Bush family have had investments in the Carlyle Group. http://911review.org/Sept11Wiki/Bush1-Carlyle-BinLaden-Ties.shtml

On 9 11 2001 , 'Frank Carlucci of the Carlyle group was involved in a meeting with representatives of the bin Laden family'.

Dame Pauline Neville-Jones is a former chairman of the British Joint Intelligence Committee. She is also an adviser to David Cameron, leader of the UK Conservative Party.

The following is from The Independent, 15 January 2006: http://news.independent.co.uk/business/news/article338591.ece

'Dame Pauline Neville-Jones, who last week became a policy adviser to David Cameron, the new leader of the Conservative Party, is set to make around £400,000 from the controversial flotation of defence research group QinetiQ.'

Oct 17 2006 (Reuters) - Local church and rights groups have demanded that the Indonesian government uncover the roots of the cycle of violence gripping Central Sulawesi province. Church, rights groups press Jakarta on pastor murder

In February 2002, Christian and Muslim factions signed a peace accord in Malino, Sulawesi.

Laskar Jihad, the militant Islamic group accused by many as fueling conflict in Maluku, refused to attend the Malino talks.

Reportedly many members of Laskar Jihad had previously fought with the Taliban and with al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.

There have been reports that Indonesian special forces regiment Kopassus have worked with Laskar Jihad.

Some have suggested that Laskar Jihad was set up by the Indonesian military in order to do its dirty work.

Kopassus officers have been trained in the USA.

A report from Dr Damian Kingsbury of Deakin University states that: Kopassus members were involved in the training of the notorious Laskar Jihad near Bogor in West Java, a group which has been responsible for the deaths of many thousands in Central Sulawesi.

Danny and Ricky Preddie

Danny and Rickie Preddie found guilty.

Damilola Taylor, aged 10, bled to death on a stairwell on a rundown housing estate in Peckham, in London, in 2000.

We remember TV pictures of some of the police who were supposed to be part of the murder investigation. They appeared to be smirking.

The pitiless culture of the Damilola killers is spreading

A lifestyle of casual violence, complete with uniforms, is taking root on urban streets in the UK, reported Stuart Wavell in an important article in The Sunday Times (UK) on 15 October 2006.

Wavel wrote:

The lawless gang of which Danny and Ricky Preddie were members when they stabbed 10-year-old Damilola in November 2000 continues to wreak mayhem...

This does not say much for the effectiveness of the London police or Blair's Labour government.

Wavel continues:

Mike Presdee, head of criminology at Kent University, has studied the Peckham Boys and other teenage gangs over many years. He says they talk about their street confrontations in terms of unscripted drama performances which they improvise...

Their father, Alfred, emigrated from Jamaica to Britain in 1966 to become a shopkeeper and married twice, siring many children before his death in 2004. Their mother, Marion, was described as a fiery woman of Jamaican origin. The boys dropped out of school and were effectively left to fend for themselves.

Yes, fathers are important. Yes, upbringing is important.

The cruelty such children inflict on vulnerable youngsters not only enlivens their dull lives, but reflects society’s increasing insensitivity to violence, Presdee believes. “Most of us have seen someone killed through the media. Vicarious experience is no longer enough.”

Yes, the media must take a lot of the blame for the spread of violent crime.

Wavel continues:

The psychotherapist Camilla Batmanghelidjh has observed the metamorphosis of individuals and the escalating level of violence during the 11 years since she founded Kids Company...

In her experience, the process begins in infancy with a disruption to the loving relationship with a maternal figure that develops those areas of the brain responsible for social behaviour.

“It could be that the maternal carer is very stressed or drug-addicted, so she becomes desynchronised with the child.”

Yes, mothers are important.

Wavel continues:

Add constant exposure to abusive situations and a state of terror sets in.

“These kids will tell you that they can’t calm down. They can’t sit still or sleep, and need action. They find it very difficult to concentrate at school.”

The government scientist could not see the blood.

Some years later, a private testing company could see the blood.

Damilola Taylor, aged 10, died in 2000.

In 2006, a forensic scientist, Sian Hedges, told the court she did not know how she missed a spot of Damilola Taylor's blood during the murder inquiry back in 2000. ( Scientist missed Damilola 'clue' )

The blood was 'on the heel of a trainer''.

That blood was found in 2004, when an inquiry into Damilola's death reopened.

The trainer is alleged to have belonged to one of the Preddie brothers.

Ros Hammond, of private testing company Forensic Alliance, said she saw the bloodspot with her naked eye, and had found it on a photograph taken by Ms Hedges, once it was enlarged.

"It seems they had not identified the blood staining," Ms Hammond told the Old Bailey.

The spot of blood, which appears to have fallen from above, was less than a centimetre wide.

Ms Hedges, who worked for Home Office agency the Forensic Science Service, told the trial she had found two blood spots and tested the rest of the trainer, but found no other blood.

She said: "I performed the tests as they are in my notes. I do not have any other explanation."

Shown the trainer in court, she agreed she could see the blood stain on the heel.

The prosecution said the new evidence points "with certainty" to the participation of the three accused in the attack on Damilola. Reportedly, spots of blood and fibres link three youths to the killing of schoolboy Damilola Taylor.

April 2006

Two teenage brothers were found not guilty of the murder of Damilola Taylor at the Old Bailey on 4 April 2006 but the jury could not reach agreement on the lesser charge of manslaughter. On 3 April 2006, Hassan Jihad was found not guilty.

August 2006 : Preddie Brothers found guilty of Damilola death

The police have been accused of racism and of not carrying out an effective enquiry.

In 2002, four youths went on trial for the murder of Damilola.

The trial led to all four suspects being acquitted.

The judge ruled that the prosecution's key witness, a 12-year-old girl, was unreliable.

The following is taken from the site:

The comments on a BBC programme are dated April 2002 and refer to the 2002 trial.

* I cannot understand how vital evidence was not told to the jury, for instance a fragment of glass, from the bottle that killed Damilola, was found in the trainer of one of the boys. But the judge ruled that the jury should not hear it. Another example was how one of the boys admitted to the killing of Damilola, but this was not heard.

* Having watched the excellent Panorama programme on the trial I'm amazed that no one (or agency) has been able to stop the activities of this seemingly well known gang "The Untouchables".

* Clever educated manipulation of a working class jury has, I suspect, allowed guilty parties to go free. I have no love for the police service as I consider it sadly inept.

* At the end of the programme we heard how one of the accused confessed, then the judge decided not to let the jury hear this confession because the boy was upset.

The FBI is investigating former lawmakers, including "one person who now holds a powerful intelligence post." TPM Muckraker points out that CIA Director Porter Goss fits that description perfectly. http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2006/4/28/94455/5569

"A time bomb is primed to go off under the Blairs. Or so the Mail assured us on 22 April, as it has been assuring us since September 2003. Originally, we were told the explosive device would be Carole Caplin's memoirs; now Caplin's mother, Sylvia, a medium, is dictating (appropriately enough) to a ghost writer. Either way, we are promised revelations about Leo and his MMR jab, and about how the Blairs consulted the spirit world on the location of Saddam Hussein's WMDs (so what? It makes as much sense as asking the intelligence services). It is hard to see that these disclosures can bring down the Prime Minister. But the Mail also insists, repeatedly, that we shall get details of Carole's "intimate" friendship with him, and if he survives the honours scandal, he won't survive that. The Mail's readers' ribs must be sore from all this nudging. What is being implied here? I think we should be told." Peter Wilby

Venice Airport was named during the questioning of Oliver North during Iran Contra. Venice was the teeny little place where Mohammed Atta and his fellow 'hijackers' chose to learn to fly.
Venice has the building that was the national HQ of billionaire Jackson Stephens's Beverley Enterprises. According to www.madcowprod.com , "Jackson Stephens was a roommate of President Carter at the US Naval Academy. Stephen's name has come up in a number of spooky cases: in the BCCI criminal bank scandal, in the case of the death of Vince Foster, in the stolen Promis software scandal, in the 1996 finance scandal involving allegations of Red Chinese money, in the gun-running and cocaine smuggling at Mena Arkansas that was behind Iran Contra and Whitewater."
