Infiltration of Moslem groups

Some time ago we met an old soldier who had once worked for some shadowy group that was a bit like the SAS.

This former soldier, whom we shall call Jimmy, had been employed to infiltrate groups which the government did not like.

Jimmy's job was to cause trouble: to start a fight: to make the group look like a bunch of mad extremists.

What about the Moslem Demonstrations in London.

Some protesters chanted the name of Osama Bin Laden and “You must pay, 7/7 is on its way” .,,2087-2025704,00.html

According to The Sunday Times:

Five hundred demonstrators brandished placards, including ones proclaiming “Behead the one who insults the Prophet”, “Down, down UK” and “Freedom go to hell”.

Inayat Bunglawala of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) said the extremists should be prosecuted.

Bunglawala said: “Lots of innocent Muslims went to the demonstration not realising that it was organised by extremists. They were hijacked by them.”

Sir Iqbal Sacranie, the council’s secretary-general, said: “This outrage was used by some to induce Muslims into taking part in terrorist violence. We condemn their actions.”

It is unlikely that the people carrying the offensive placards will be prosecuted. The placards supporting CIA agent bin Laden were probably written by and carried by members of the security services of certain countries.

No doubt these security services also have their agents in Syria, Palestine and Lebanon.

Shami Chakrabarti, director of Liberty:

We say to Britain’s Muslims in friendship and solidarity — let’s close Guantanamo and end torture flights before we worry about distasteful cartoons. Shutting down free expression is particularly dangerous for minorities. How can my speech be free if yours is so expensive?
