New Scientist claims that the the answer is the blue squares.
New Scientist does not explain this; and we do not have the slightest idea.

The red design in the centre is the odd one out. The others are all in pairs of equals and pairs of opposites. ET

Hi, it's ET back again. I have taken a closer look and realized that it is not just a matter of design and colour. It is also a matter of colour TONE. I can see three different blue colour tones and two different red tones. Which means that the designs are in pairs of equal designs with opposite colours of same tone, and opposite designs of equal colour and colour tone. In short the journal is right. ET

Here is an explanation for the choice of the blue squares in the first question…There is a predominance of channels, and domes; secondary is color
1 set of red channels
2 sets of blue domes
3 sets of blue channels
Of the three sets left over the blue set of squares is left as the other two items are red. So the answer becomes the blue squares!!

The designs are in sets of three. One is diagonal of three reds. One is a half circle (clockwise) of blues. One is the opposite diagonal, leaving the blue squares as odd.

The red center: the reason is that it is the only one with red curves on top. (all other combos of blue/ red and curve/ straight /open on top, bottom, and side are not unique)
... oops, correction. The answer is bottom-red-right. Reason: It is only red one with nothing on the left side.

The centre pattern is the odd one out. It's the only one not on the edge. Moreover, it's the oddest of the odd: there's an odd number of arches, whereas the others are even; the arches are the only curvilinear figures; and the oddest of the arches is the red one.
A. We should promote the greatest happiness of the greatest number.
B. We should promote the greatest happiness of every individual.
This is the most important question in the quiz.
Should we try to promote the greatest happiness of the greatest number by bombing innocent kids in Dresden or shooting an innocent Brazilian on the London tube or carrying out acts of false flag terrorism which give us an excuse to invade Cuba?
The correct answer is B - we should promote the greatest happiness of every individual, if we believe in justice and compassion.

B is correct.
Aggregate happiness is meaningless.
Only individual happiness has direct meaning.
Justice and compassion are achieved when any one soul would be happy to have done unto it what is done to any other soul.

For the greatest number, else you waste time seeking happiness for the criminals.
We understand the point that Bingo is making.
But we worry about Dresden and Hiroshima, for example.
Vietnam - victim of the American military
Imagine you are a little kid maimed in an American false flag terror operation in Vietnam.
You might well say to the Americans that
(a) you understand that a lot of Americans are made happy by the deaths of little yellow people
(b) but, you have been treated unfairly
(c) and, your injuries have not helped the USA win the war in Vietnam.
A huge number of people would have been made happy when Mr Megrahi was found guilty of causing the Lockerbie bombing.
But is it just to punish people people using fake evidence, such as a stolen 'timer'?
Genuine criminals may need to be locked up.
But, if you believe in justice and compassion, you will not want them treated like the prisoners in the Russian gulags or Nazi concentration camps.

6. Why does blog post (A) get more views than than blog post (B)?
A. USA SEEKS CONTROL OF INDONESIA?
B. FASCIST TERRORISM IN EUROPE
Blogger 'stats' show that an enormous number of people, searching for pictures of Tiara Lestari, have come to our post 'USA SEEKS CONTROL OF INDONESIA', because it contains pictures of the famous Indonesian model.
Another of our popular posts is entitled Hot North African Sex
Our post on Fascist Terrorism in Europe has no 'sexy' pictures.
Anonymous has a very good answer...
B is more often passed over as it does not mesh with the standard worldview, and hence is immediately rejected as not worth reading.
Bingo makes an interesting point...
Less well-known hence more interesting to westerners, plus Indonesian views.
Karkare. Police chief Hemant Karkare, who was killed in the 2009 Mumbai attacks, had discovered that Lt.Col. Srikant Purohit, of Indian military intelligence, had got 60 kg of RDX explosive from government supplies for use in the terrorist attack on the Samjhauta Express train in February 2007. So, did elements of the Indian government have a motive for killing Karkare?
Anonymous got it exactly right when saying:
Yes.
But remember there's government and there's government.
Often the elected government has little idea of the activities of the secret government, the intelocracy.
And another anonymous correctly stated:
Yes they had a motive; it is quite obvious now
