Apple gets most of its products made by a Taiwanese company called Foxconn.

At Foxconn's Longhua plant, in mainland China, at least 12 people have 'jumped to their deaths' in the year 2010.

Foxconn makes products for Apple, Nintendo, Nokia, Sony, HP and Dell.

Foxconn factories are associated with very long hours of work, very low pay and very strict discipline.

A Reuters journalist commented that "many workers told us that throughout their shift...they are not allowed to speak at all, so there is absolutely no conversation at all between workers during their shift".

An 'auditing team' (Foxconn - Wikipedia) discovered that Foxconn workers were punished by being made to stand at attention for extended periods,[12] and workers were subjected to military-style drills.[13]

Foxconn admitted that it made workers do an extra 80 hours overtime per month while the local labour law only permits 36 hours[14]

Foxconn sued the journalists responsible for revealing these practices, for $3.77 million and filed a successful court ruling to have the journalists' assets frozen.[15]

In China (slave labours), "workers told the police they were forced to work 20 hours a day, while one worker was allegedly beaten to death by a thug using a spade, and his body buried in a nearby hill, a Shanxi newspaper reported...

"The shoeless workers were even forced to carry red-hot bricks from the kiln on their backs, leaving numerous scalds on their bodies. Worst of all, the toiling laborers were subject to frequent and brutal beatings by the hired thugs for no apparent reasons.

"In a related development, the New Express newspaper reports 40 children were rescued from slavery in Shanxi brick kilns, but hundreds more are believed to be held captive.

"The paper reports 400 fathers of missing boys from the central province of Henan had joined forces to find their sons at kilns hidden deep in the mountains of neighboring Shanxi.

"Boys as young as eight had been taken from bus and train stations and sold for 500 yuan each to kilns where they were beaten, starved and forced to work 14 hours hauling bricks.

"At least 1,000 boys are being held in the kilns in Shanxi, the paper says, quoting a reporter from the Henan provincial television station."


Oleg Deripaska, boss of the world's biggest aluminium company, is being treated as a formal suspect in a money-laundering case linked to the Russian mafia. (dailymail.co.uk/Oligarchz).

In the past, Deripaska has entertained the UK's Lord Mandelson and the UK Chancellor George Osborne on his luxury yacht.

Peter Mandelson was a UK cabinet minister, belonging to what was Tony Blair's Labour party.

Mandelson, and the UK Labour Party, have sometimes seemed to serve the interests of certain Jewish businessmen, rather than the interests of British workers.

On 23 May 2010, The Mail reports on Mandelson, his Russian oligarch friend Deripaska, Nat Rothschild and a £500m deal over dinner that cost British jobs..

In 2005, Peter Mandelson, the former EU Trade Commissioner, was a 'valuable extra' dinner guest when billionaire Oleg Deripaska met American aluminium bosses in Moscow.

The meeting was also attended byDeripaska's pal, financier Nat Rothschild.

The result was a deal to sell two of Deripaska's Russian factories to a U.S. firm, Alcoa.

Mandelson "was in a position to allay 'concerns' over tariffs on imports from Eastern Europe at the meeting."

Over the following three years, tariffs were slashed.

This led to the dumping of cheap aluminium on the European market, forcing at least four British factories to close.

These were: Alcoa's South Wales aluminium rolling plant, a plant at Rogerstone in Wales, and plants at Falkirk and Glasgow.

In the past, Mandelson has denied ever talking to Deripaska about aluminium or even meeting Deripaska before 2006.

But, the Mail says Mandelson's presence at the private dinner in 2005 has been confirmed by eyewitness sources.

Mohamed Camara was in charge of security at the Koundara military camp where the president was shot in the head.

Guinea's leader is in hospital in Morocco, recovering from a gunshot wound which is said to have lodged a splinter of bone into his brain.

1. In 1961 Congolese leader Patrice Lumumba was assassinated.

Belgian officials, backed by the CIA and a White House assasination order, carried out the assassination.

There may be a similar situation now in Guinea.

2. Oleg Deripaska is the boss of a company called Rusal.

In October 2009, Victor Boyarkin, a close associate of Deripaska, was in Paris where he was introduced to Guinean Government officials.

Guinea supplies bauxite to Russian aluminium smelters.

In Guinea, Rusal operates the Kindia bauxite mine.

3. In 2006, Rusal bought the Friguia alumina refinery for $19 million.

That deal was revoked in September 2009 on the ground that it was corrupt.

The real value of the refinery is said to be at least $240 million more than Rusal paid.

Rusal’s mines, refinery, and the rail line, port, and power station linked to them, are, together, one of the largest employers in the country.

The Dian-Dian bauxite concession, for which Rusal has mining rights, but which it has yet to dig, is the largest bauxite deposit in Guinea, probably in the world.

4. Chinese interests are reportedly in the running to buy the Friguia refinery.

Boyarkin has asked the Camara government for a reversal of the court ruling revoking Rusal’s ownership of Friguia.

Boyarkin and Deripaska have been talking with the French about Rusal’s multi-billion dollar debts to French banks.

5. Sources reveal that the French bankers are unhappy with measures being taken by Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner.

Kouchner gave the order to close French schools in, and evacuate French nationals from, Guinea's capital, Conakry.

There is a suspicion in Paris that Kouchner is backing one of the Guinean opposition figures, Alpha Conde, head of the Rally of the Guinean People (RPG).

Conde and Kouchner have been friends since school days.

Kouchner has been attempting to rally international support for political sanctions, and possibly military intervention in Guinea.

There is a suspicion that Kouchner and Conde are plotting to depose Camara.

The banking sources say their interests in Guinea are threatened if they are seen in Guinea as backing Deripaska and Conde.

The government banned a demonstration organised for 28 September 2009 in Conakry, the capital of Guinea.

But 'several political parties, trade unions and civic organisations' went ahead with the event.

Mines minister Mahmoud Thiam says a Chinese company will invest more than $7bn (£4.5bn) in infrastructure.

The company will be a "strategic partner" in all mining projects in Guinea.

The Chinese firm that intends to invest in Guinea is said to be the Hong Kong registered China International Fund.

Reportedly the firm will help build ports, railway lines, power plants and low-cost housing.

Guinea is thought to have the world's largest reserves of the aluminium ore, bauxite.

Dadis personally interviews alleged drug dealers and corrupt politicians from the previous regime, live on television.

Ousmane Conté, a son of the previous president, was seen on TV confessing that he had been part of a drug-smuggling ring.

Several former ministers and a prime minister have agreed to give back money that went missing when they were in power.

Dadis is very popular in Guinea, but may not be popular with the CIA or the drugs barons.

There was a discussion about party donations.

These came shortly after the Tory culture spokesman Tobias Elwood changed party policy on slot machines.

The Conservatives now want the maximum stake for one-armed bandits to be doubled.

5. Over a year ago, the oil company Vitol, a Netherlands-based firm, pled guilty to 'grand larceny in the first degree' in a New York court. Vitol admitted having paid kickbacks in return for oil contracts in Iraq at the time of Saddam Hussein.

Vitol's president and chief executive Ian Taylor then gave money to the UK Conservative Party.

Some of the money went to the office of Alan Duncan who was then Conservative Party energy spokesman.

6. 'Playboy financier' David Ross donated more than £140,000 to the Conservative Party.

Ross secretly used his shares in Carphone Warehouse as collateral for huge personal loans.

7. Richard Caring is a clothing tycoon and owner of a number of top London restaurants and clubs.

Caring is giving money to the Conservative Party.

The Conservative Party seems to have links to a growing number of such people.

8. Dame Pauline Neville Jones is the Conservative Party's National Security Adviser.

She has 'performed poorly' in the Binyam Mohamed case.

It looks as if UK Foreign Secretary David Miliband may have (1) misled the High Court when he asked for the suppression of evidence of MI5 collusion (2) misled the House of Commons.

When Neville Jones appeared on BBC Radio Four's Today programme, "she addressed none of these matters."

Various reports implicate Đukanović in doing business with different Mafia bosses like Neapolitan Camorra's Ciro Mazzarella who was arrested in 1993 in Lugano.[6]

Since then, other mafia figures like Francesco Prudentino, Gerardo Cuomo, Filippo Messina operated out of Montenegro closely tied to Đukanović's government.[7]

In 1996, Italy's Anti-mafia Investigative Agency taped a telephone conversation between Cuomo and Santo Vantaggiato, a fugitive from Italian law hiding in Montenegro. The two men were discussing the election in Montenegro, and Cuomo boasted that he was close to senior Montenegrin politicians. [8]

In July 2003, the prosecutor's office in Naples named Đukanović as a linchpin in the illicit trade which used Montenegro as a transit point for smuggling millions of cigarettes across the Adriatic sea into Italy and into the hands of the Italian mafia for distribution across the EU.[7]

Various reports implicate Đukanović in doing business with different Mafia bosses like Neapolitan Camorra's Ciro Mazzarella who was arrested in 1993 in Lugano.[6]

Since then, other mafia figures like Francesco Prudentino, Gerardo Cuomo, Filippo Messina operated out of Montenegro closely tied to Đukanović's government.[7]

In 1996, Italy's Anti-mafia Investigative Agency taped a telephone conversation between Cuomo and Santo Vantaggiato, a fugitive from Italian law hiding in Montenegro. The two men were discussing the election in Montenegro, and Cuomo boasted that he was close to senior Montenegrin politicians. [8]

In July 2003, the prosecutor's office in Naples named Đukanović as a linchpin in the illicit trade which used Montenegro as a transit point for smuggling millions of cigarettes across the Adriatic sea into Italy and into the hands of the Italian mafia for distribution across the EU.[7]
