BURGAS BOMBER UNLIKELY TO BE GHEZALI

The al-Qaeda-linked 'bomber' with a Finnish mother.

The Bulgarian Interior Minister says : The bomber is not Mohammed Mehdi Ghezali

A witness told news.bg (Terrorists struck Burgas Airport) that the explosion occurred during the loading of baggage onto the bus.

It is quite possible that the official story, concerning a suicide bomber and Israeli casualties, is innacurate.

On 19 July 2012, Bulgarian officials announced that the man who apparently carried out the attack on the bus in Burgas was "a lanky, long-haired man wearing a baseball cap and plaid shorts and carrying  a Michigan driver's license."

'The Burgas Bomber', whose alleged explosives were not picked up by airport detection devices.

Bulgarian television has shown security camera footage showing the suspected bomber at the airport.

Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov said the bomber is believed to be about 36 years old and had been in the country between four and seven days.

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boiko Borisov told reporters that they had found a Michigan driver's license.

Mehdi Ghezali, former prisoner at Guantanamo Bay.

The Burgos bomber has been identified by Bulgarian media as Mehdi Ghezali, a Swede, with a Finnish mother and an Algerian father.

BUT, the Bulgarian Interior Minister says : The bomber is not Mohammed Mehdi Gezli

In 1999, Ghezali was in prison in Portugal as the result of a bank robbery.

He then seems to have been recruited by the CIA for its al Qaeda mercenary force.

He studied in London.

According to media reports Ghezali travelled to Afghanistan and stayed at "Algerian House", supposedly a known hideout for al-Qaeda in Jalalabad.[6]

According to the Associated Press Ghezali was "reportedly part of a group of 156 suspected Al-Qaeda fighters."

Ghezali was captured by an Afghan warlord who handed him over to the Americans, who parked him in Guantanamo Bay from 2002 until 2004.

Ghezali was transported home by the Swedish Air Force

In 2009, Ghezali was reportedly arrested in Pakistan, but quickly released.

Bulgarian news outlet Novinite Daily reported that the Bulgarian Prime Minister Boiko Borisov said that officials are still trying to determine whether the Ghezali's U.S. passport was genuine.

Ghezali's driving license  had a Louisiana address, which is that of a casino called the Belle of Baton Rouge.

A witness told news.bg (Terrorists struck Burgas Airport) that the explosion occurred during the loading of baggage onto the bus.

It is possible the explosive device was in the luggage.

According to experts, is likely the bomb exploded accidentally while loading the luggage...

When the bomb exploded part of the group had not yet entered the vehicle.

One of the witnesses - an Israeli - said ... the bomb was placed in the trunk of the bus.

Witnesses told Israeli media that the Bulgarian authorities were slow in their response to the incident, adding that the rescuers "did not seem very concerned."
