London

In the mid 1990s, Osama bin Laden lived in London, at a house near Harrow Road in Wembley.

Ah... MY London. I can smell the rot, the stench of wee on the walls, feel the cold dank air, the holes in the soles of me shoes, the wet socks, and privates frozen from the draft up our legs as we had to wear short trousers until we were 13. But it was ok, we had our school-caps on, pure wool mate! And we knew mum was frying fish-fingers for our tea - wow, it's Friday, we might get baked-beans too? And then we would gettacuppa and watch 6-5 Special on the tele, before dad came 'ome and turned 'that racket' off and put Mrs. Dale on, on the radio. So absorbed both didn't notice us sneak out to the rec to kick the s##t out of each other pretending to play football until darkness forced us, reluctantly, back home to bed.

Life was good back then.

I made me into the sad ol' git I now am, so it wasn't so bad, aye.

yes, Aangirfan. Visiting your web site is indeed, painful and sad.
On the other hand, it is refreshing to find someone courageously honest!

Clearly you are walking the talk and talking the walk

And those who have done/continue to do also, we are no longer alone...
Bless.
