Belhaj - the most powerful Libyan today.

Abdel hakim Belhaj is now the military boss in Tripoli.

He has long been linked to both the CIA and al Qaeda.

Belhaj's 'Tripoli Brigade', was trained in secret for two months by US Special Forces. (Asia Times Online : How al-Qaeda got to rule.)

Belhaj's Libyan Islamic Fighting Group has been part of al Qaeda.

In 2007, al-Qaeda's number two, Zawahiri, officially announced the merger between the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group and al-Qaeda

All the top military guys in today's Libya come from the al Qaeda-linked Libyan Islamic Fighting Group. (Asia Times Online :How al-Qaeda got to rule.)

In the 1980s, Belhaj was fighting alongside the CIA in Afghanistan.

Belhaj met Osama bin Laden. (Libya's Powerful Islamist Leader)

Belhaj has also operated in Pakistan and Iraq.

In 2003, Belhaj was arrested in Malaysia.

He was handed over to Libya, which eventually released him.

It looks like Belhaj is a top asset of the CIA and of al Qaeda.

We can expect Belhaj and the media to claim the following:

Belhaj does not hold a grudge against the West.

Libyans have never had extremist ideas.

Here are some quotes from Belhaj:

"We never had any link to Al Qaeda.

"We never took part in global jihad.

"The fact that we were in the same country, Afghanistan, (as al Qaeda) does not mean we had the same goal.

"We never have and never will support… terrorism."

(CIA agents tortured me and then had me flown to Gaddafi prison hell ...)

Al Qaeda Commander of NATO's Bloody Reign of Terror in Tripoli.

may he be overtaken with the most overwhelming spiritual crisis.
may he feel the dark night of the soul so intensely but be unable to move beyond it unless there has been a healing at the deepest level.

this is a fervent wish.
compassion for all people of the lie has run out.
i don't care what happens to them anymore, i just want them to experience an awakening soul and the lessons it brings.

"Obama Solar Firm Fails Filing For Bankruptcy And Laying Off 1,110 People

Solyndra, the solar company U.S. President Barack Obama, personally and publicly backed, giving the corporation $535,000,000 in taxpayer money, has filed for bankruptcy, laying off its 1,110 workers.

For a number of reasons, the failure of this company is a serious blow to the U.S. economy and the White House for underwriting it. The U.S. taxpayer is out over half a billion dollars, unemployment shall go up, jobs that could have been created with that money will not be and President Obama’s credibility has taken another hit.

The Judiciary Report warned President Obama in a string of articles to back off his solar initiative, but he did not and to disastrous results. From the beginning of Obama’s presidency, the Judiciary Report has warned that the White House, U.S. Congress, FBI, CIA and other divisions of the government, should economize and prioritize.

However, that message fell on deaf ears. Much like when I warned in 2006 via a sister site (Sound Off Column) that a financial crisis was coming and it did two years later, but the government ignored that as well, when it could have been prevented. The government has been gambling with/spending taxpayer money, like a lottery winner, splurging with newly gained funds, only to end up bankrupt in a few short years, due to poor financial planning.
The Judiciary Report would like to revisit its jobs plan from early 2009 (Obama Calls For Job Summit and Nancy Pelosi Speaks About STDs), to emphasize why the U.S. economy is still in the toilet two years later.

As stated above, the U.S. government, under Barack Obama, personally gave Solyndra over half a billion dollars in U.S. taxpayer money to play with - yet as we can see based on reports, they only employed 585 people with said funds, which is economic rubbish.

This solar initiative was not a priority. The Judiciary Report warned again regarding it as recently as April. There is no excuse. That money should have gone to more practical job creation, where much more people would have been employed for those same taxpayer funds, thus noticeably decreasing unemployment as stated in the article Obama Calls For Job Summit.

Had Obama followed the Judiciary Report's aforementioned job creation outline, over two and a half years ago, unemployment would not be ridiculously high and rising, as it is today. Coupled with appropriate taxation and budget cuts, the economy would have been doing quite well today.
Do you know how many jobs I could create for over half a billion dollars, yet the government, utilizing poor oversight, which the Judiciary Report expressly warned against in 2009, allowed Solyndra to create just 585. I keep repeating that because the government does not seem to get it.

For that money why employ 585 individuals when you could employ over 35,000 people for those same funds, in stable, proven industries. These costly missteps and mistakes coming out of Washington are clearly about someone's agenda, rather than what is in the best interest of the general public.

As stated in the bullet train articles, this is not the time for experimentation. Vanity projects need to wait until America is on stable financial footing. The government is not prioritizing and it is very perturbing, as people in America are suffering, yet Washington continues to put the cart before the horse. Once again, you must prioritize.

Furthermore, the Judiciary Report has concerns about too many people jumping into the solar industry, without proper scientific investigation. Not only is it very costly per household at the current rate of the technology, will every company use the same calibration for each piece of solar apparatus, as invariably, overuse to certain degrees, by too many people worldwide could harm the sun. Frankly, the latter is not a pretty scenario. The industry needs universal regulations and standards, as this is a serious issue."

"could harm the sun. Frankly, the latter is not a pretty scenario."

umm, C

hmmm... how do I say this?

You do realize the sun is a monstrously huge ball of fire that really doesn't care too much about us or even the Earth.

Hopefully, I've just utterly misunderstood what you're trying to say.

If not, then maybe take a little peek in a book on astronomy.

It would be an interesting exercise for a psychiatrist clinically trained in the identification of the physiological manifestations of psychopathy to examine TV interviews of politicians, bankers and so on.

From an ignorant layman's perspective, Tony Blair for one does seem to exhibit some of the symptoms mentioned in the article. Eventually, sociopathic politicians may have to undergo training in suppressing the symptoms of their psychopathy.

Research on them with fMRI would no doubt be revealing also.

It would also be interesting to examine the genetic heritability of the sociopathic personality.

In the good ole days, sociopaths would be killed at a young age after they'd committed their first monstrous act, hence reducing their reproductive success. These days, who knows, maybe they have a reproductive advantage. Certainly Western society encourages sociopathic behaviour to get ahead economically: we're more likely to make sociopaths president or CEO.

Imagine a world inhabited solely by sociopaths.
Something like Kant's thought experiment from Zum Ewigen Frieden: a nation of devils (Volk von Teufeln).

Contrary to Kant's thesis, I expect it would be an image of hell.

Who knows; maybe one day we'll understand this disease even at the molecular level, like sickle cell anaemia. And even be able to treat it.

Then even psychopaths will no longer be beyond redemption.

Qaddafi and his supporters probably should let BP, Total and friends dump a lot of money into developing the oil infrastructure in Libya, before they sabotage it.

Thereby affecting the profits of the Western supermajors.

The way to get them out of Libya is through economic warfare: alter the risk-reward relationship.

If I were in Qaddafi's boots, it would be no more Mr Nice Guy. This is war:

Assassinate senior executives in these oil companies. Determine which natural persons are the largest shareholders in these companies and send them an unambiguous message.

Hopefully Qaddafi had the foresight to stash enough wealth to support such a program.

Anon 4:52, that is/was not my opinion on the sun and its effects. It belongs to the owner of the site I took the news from.

Ok. Thanks, C.

Sorry for the misunderstaning.

in the excellent Asia Times link:

"[Gaddhafi] also said this was a prelude for a foreign occupation whose target was to privatize and take over Libya's natural resources. He may - again – turn out to be right."

well, those resources are sand, oil and WATER.

Al qaeda" Who is that? I'm suspicious of people who promote the "al qaeda" myth.

Al Qaeda exists. They are just the extension of the CIA drug runners from Iran-Contra.

When you see 'Al Qaeda', you should just read it as 'CIA-trained drug runners'.

They were cynically invented by Zbig Brzezinski in order to destabilize the Soviet Union from Afghanistan. They were and are actively supported by Al Saud royalty. Collapsing the Soviet system of rabid atheists was ultimately a good thing, but it left the US evil empire of hypocrites largely unopposed, which has created the current chaos.

Since then, these violent, hateful, anti-Islamic psychopaths known as Al Qaeda have been used as a dangerous tool by the Angloamericans.

They will end up forming totalitarian, backward governments in the Middle East, which will allow these nations to be easily exploited by the NATO powers.

So much for the liberation of the Arab Spring.

People will end up pining for the good ole days of Mubarak and other such relatively benign Western puppets.
