off topic:

Former US lawmaker Cynthia McKinney says every candidate for Congress has to sign a pledge to vote for supporting the military superiority of Israel.

“Every candidate for Congress at that time had a pledge. They were given a pledge to sign ... that had Jerusalem as the capital city,” McKinney said in an interview with Press TV on Sunday.

“You make a commitment that you would vote to support the military superiority of Israel that the economic assistant that Israel wants that you would vote to provide that,” she added.

McKinney said that if a candidate does not sign the pledge or perform accordingly, “then you do not get money to run your campaign.”

"just enough for lights and a small television"

I don't know if that says a lot about what went on inside the compound.

Households in third-world countries are usually extremely conservative with electricity, as it's often more expensive than in Western countries.

If they were using the amount of electricity it takes to run a few lights and a small television continuously, that would be a lot of electricity, as a typical family would be using 15-watt fluorescents for illumination, and a TV only intermittently (and an ice chest for refrigeration). It's plausible they were then using a computer intermittently. Though, in a neighborhood such as they were in, you'd expect them to be using air-conditioning as well, but again, in countries like this, they often pay the electricity man a bribe to bypass the meter.

Nit-picky detail, I know. That's just my experience.

On top of that, the rich Saudi lived like a pauper.

I mean where is the big screen tv and the surround sound system fit for a multi millionaire or billionaire?

Shouldn't he really be in a home theatre?

NOn credible
