CATHOLIC CHURCH - CHILD ABUSE RINGS

.

A report by a UK parliamentary committee, in 1998, contains a reference to a young boy who was abused by the Roman Catholic church's Christian Brothers (terrifying).

The Christian Brothers competed as to who could be first to rape the boy 100 times.

The boy described being in terrible pain, bleeding and bewildered.

The boy tried to beat his own eyes so they would cease to be blue as the Brothers liked his blue eyes.

The boy was forced to masturbate animals.

The boy was held upside down over a well and threatened in case he ever told.

The fact they acted without shame is terrifying.

With the Roman Catholic church, there have now been abuse allegations from around the world.

An inquiry is vital, but the church's moral authority is lost for ever

In 1998, the Los Angeles Times reported about Belgium: "the conviction remains stubbornly widespread that members of the upper crust - government ministers, the Roman Catholic Church, the court of King Albert II - belonged to child sex rings, or protected them." (Child Sexual Abuse in Brussels)

In 2004 it was estimated that, in the USA, some 4,400 priests had engaged in sexual abuse of minors between 1950 and 2002, and that the abuse had affected some 11,000 children. (Child abuse scandals faced by Roman Catholic Church)

"Masonry has infiltrated the whole Vatican ... Paul VI was particularly pleased to choose Michele Sindona and Roberto Calvi, known Masons, to important administrative roles in Church finances" (who wants a pulitzer prize?)

Ever wondered why you don't hear similar stories about Anglicans or Hindus or Seeks or just about any religion except the Catholics? Celibacy is the root of the problem but this has nothing to do with a priest selflessly devoting himself to God's works, that is just a fairy story for the punters. In times gone by when more of the population were under the influence of the church, priests were prominent members of society and therefore relatively rich. Rome didn't want these subordinates dying off and leaving their inheritance to family so if they didn't have one they would have little alternative than leaving it to Mother Church. It was never about morals, it was always about money.
