Disinformation by the media?
By 29 April 2009, the world's media were interviewing the mother of 4-year-old Edgar Hernandez who reportedly got swine flu on 2nd April 2009.
Edgar comes from La Gloria in Veracruz in Mexico, where there is the giant US-owned Smithfield Foods pig production facility.
Edgar is quoted as saying: 'I feel great. But I had a headache and a sore throat and a fever for a while. I had to lay down in bed.'
Reportedly, it was confirmed, on 27April 27 2009, that Edgar was the first known sufferer of swine flu.
Mexico's Health Secretary Jose Angel Cordova told reporters a sample taken from 4-year-old Edgar in Mexico's Veracruz state in early April tested positive for swine flu.
Smithfield spokeswoman Keira Ullrich said the company has found no clinical signs or symptoms of the presence of swine influenza in its swine herd or its employees working at its joint ventures anywhere in Mexico.
The company supplies the McDonald’s and Subway fast-food chains.
Mexican Agriculture Department officials said that its inspectors found no sign of swine flu among pigs around the farm in Veracruz, and that no infected pigs have been found yet anywhere in Mexico.
Smithfields was fined $12.3 million in the United States in 1997 for violating the Clean Water Act.

The National Unity Party, led by Dervish Eroglu, won 44% of the vote, giving it 26 of the 50 seats.
The Republican Turkish Party (CTP) won only 29% of the vote.
Mehmet Ali Talat, who is linked to the losing Republican Turkish Party, remains as president.
Talat led the campaign in favour of the UN’s Annan plan to reunite Cyprus in 2004.
But the Greek-Cypriots rejected the plan in a separate vote.
Turkey’s EU membership is opposed by Greece, France and Germany among others.
Britain has two important military bases on Cyprus.
The operation of these bases was guaranteed in the Cypriot constitution, when Cyprus became independent in 1960.
Most of the Greek Cypriots want to be rid of these bases.
In October 2007, Britain signed an agreement with Turkey, the 'enemy' of the Greek Cypriots.
This agreement is about:
1. Supporting Turkey’s EU accession 2. Helping to end the isolation of the Turkish Cypriots 3. Deepening the UK-Turkey defence relationship, including within the framework of NATO.
"The Greek Cypriot government is reconsidering the status of two British military bases on the island, saying Britain implicitly recognized the Turkish Cypriot administration in the north in an agreement signed with Ankara.
"Greek Cypriot Government Spokesman Vasilis Palmas said... that relations with Britain were being reconsidered 'through a different prism.'
"'We are reconsidering our bilateral relations,' he said, after Britain signed an agreement with Turkey on Oct. 23 that referred to the north as the "TRNC" which stands for the Turkish Republic of northern Cyprus..."
The Greek Cypriot government could reduce cooperation with the British military.
However, Cyprus is aware that Britain is its biggest trading partner, and roughly half of the 2.4 million people who visit Cyprus each year are British.
The Americans take a very strong interest in Cyprus.
In the early 1970s, Greece was run by the 'fascist' colonels who, reportedly, had been put into power by the CIA.
In Turkey, the people who pulled the strings were, reportedly, the pro-American military.
A number of books refer to a 1974 Cyprus plot involving the USA:
The Aphrodite Plot by Michael Jansen 1976, The Cyprus Conspiracy: America, Espionage and the Turkish Invasion by Brendan O'Malley and Ian Craig (published by I.B. Taurus), The Rape of Greece by Peter Murtagh, and The Wrong Horse by Lawrence Stern.
A deal was discussed by Greek and Turkish ministers in the early 1970s.
According to this deal:
1. Cyprus would be split. 2. A Turkish military base would be set up on Cyprus, on the Karpass Peninsula. 3. The mainly Greek part of the Island would join up with Greece.
The USA was apparently involved in what was happening.
The U.S. wanted rid of Makarios, the President of Cyprus.
Makarios was seen as being too independent minded; he had left-wing allies; he was a friend of the Arabs; he was opposed to the 'fascist' colonels who ran Greece and who were regarded as CIA assets.
According to Peter Murtagh, the Greek colonels in Athens had allowed Israeli planes to use a U.S. base in Crete to launch the air strikes on Egyptian, Jordanian and Syrian air fields that 'decided the outcome of the 1967 war' before Arab and Israeli troops came together on the ground.
According to Jansen: the USA wanted its Greek and Turkish allies in control of Cyprus.
Reportedly, by late 1973, the Greek and Turkish Cypriots were becoming more friendly with each other. They had decided to keep Cyprus united.
Reportedly, Greece and Turkey tried to wreck things.
In July 1974 Greece organised a coup against Makarios. Nicos Sampson became president.
Turkey decided to carry out its plan to split Cyprus. Turkish troops took over the North of Cyprus in 1974. It is thought that the USA supported the invasion.
According to the Cyprus Mail, 13 November 1999, and the Times Higher Education Supplement, the USA vetoed any British intervention in Cyprus.
The USA "vetoed Britain's intervention in the Turkish invasion to protect its spying bases in northern Cyprus, former British Prime Minister Lord Callaghan has revealed in an interview to a British paper."
The US has electronic spying facilities in northern Cyprus.
Callaghan was interviewed for the Times by Brendan O'Malley, co-author with Ian Craig of The Cyprus Conspiracy: American Espionage and the Turkish Invasion.
"Cyprus had extreme value as a centre for electronic surveillance," Callaghan said.
The UK and the US have had intelligence bases on Cyprus for many years. They have sophisticated surveillance equipment on top of Mount Troodos. The USA has its listening post in Northern Cyprus.
According to Greece's Daily Times, the USA has studied the possibility of "sending a military force to Cyprus, in the form of a peacekeeping force".
Karl became a Protestant; this was a wise move at a time of anti-semitism.

Tom Daley, the teenage diver who became Britain's second youngest male Olympian in Beijing, has been temporarily removed from Eggbuckland Community College after being bullied.
The bullying has been going on for some time.

According to one pupil's review of the school (Average...):
"This school really is terrible... I have been here since Year 7 and since then it has been a downward slide... The naughty people are ignored once they disrupt their class. This isn't fair and makes the people who behave all the time feel completely unnoticed.
"Ms Borowski ... is never seen. I have seen her twice since September... Once in a Sixth Form Open evening and another in a parents evening... Maybe if she stepped out her office to motivate her students and make us feel equal she would have a better working school."
Hundreds of thousands of teenagers have such poor mastery of the three Rs they cannot scrape a grade C in the two subjects employers and parents regard as crucial.
They are finishing compulsory schooling without the literacy and numeracy skills they need to "participate in life, learning and work" despite a raft of multi-billion pound Labour initiatives...
And the inability of pupils to get good grades comes despite widespread suspicions that exams have been dumbed down in recent years...
Forty-two per cent of pupils finished 11 years of compulsory education without achieving at least a grade C in GCSE English which means they struggle to read and summarise information accurately or use basic grammar...
Forty-eight per cent - or 301,671 - failed to reach the same standard in GCSE maths meaning they are unable to calculate the area of a room.
A total of 54 per cent - nearly 350,000 - fail to achieve the expected level in both English and maths.
The official exams watchdog, the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), says pupils need to meet grade C standard - so-called "level two" - to function as citizens...
Just 46 per cent leave school able to read, write and add up properly.
"Ofsted’s chief inspector, David Bell, referred in his latest report to a 'hard core of pupils with no social skills' whose language is 'offensive' and who have 'little or no understanding of how to behave sensibly'.
"They are, he said, 'unteachable'.
"If verbal and physical abuse is increasing and parental control is reducing, then the number of disillusioned teachers leaving the profession, now one in three, will also rise.
"One Leeds deputy head teacher with 30 years’ experience is in no doubt. 'Some of these children are coming through secondary school not properly house-trained,' he says. 'They cannot sit still and listen...
"Even children in nursery schools are now displaying high levels of unacceptable actions — ranging from offensive language to abusive and insulting comments and threats.
"The report criticised the lack of support from local education authorities and parents, with one in 12 teachers claiming to have been threatened by parents at least once a term."
In 1007, a pupil from a UK school took a knife on a school trip. A pupil was stabbed in the chest. The pupil, one of three who had carried knives on the trip, successfully appealed against exclusion and is back at school.
In 2007, at another UK school, governors overturned the decision of a headmaster who had expelled a pupil for setting up a website calling on classmates to kill a teacher.
In 2007, an 11-year-old pupil who repeatedly battered a fellow pupil on the head, punched a member of staff and smashed a door was allowed back to his school by the governing body.
A comment on the Sunday telegraph website reads:
I was once a teacher. - Thank God! no more! Thank You Thank you and thank you to the parents and governors who started a campaign against me and forced me out! I was accused of being too strict and unsympathetic! I refused to teach children who abused me verbally and it was bye bye not to them but me! I was never once offered any support by other teachers or the local authority. There is no hope now. None. If you are training to be a teacher leave now!
Why aren't these violent youths and frequently thuggish youths and all and every one of them a bully jailed? This lip service to anti-bullying campaigns is pathetic -it's the bullies and their horrible parents who are protected. None of them deserve a second chance! 5.So, how should schools be organised?
1.Give pupils a choice of schools.
This means there must be lots of small schools of different types.
All schools should be tiny. The big schools should be broken up.
Parents and children must have a wide choice of schools where possible. No secondary school needs to have more than 200 children.
2.Give headmasters and teachers the right to exclude pupils who are disruptive.
3.Set up special schools that give intensive care (very expensive) to the disruptive children.
4.Set up top quality schools that cater for the less academic kids.
There are parents and children who want such schools - so long as they are well run, and do not become dumping grounds for the disruptive children.
5.Lower the school leaving age and shorten the school day.
This will mean children will learn more. That is the paradox.
The school day should be about 3 hours.
The school leaving age should be around 12.
The 1819 Factory Act in the UK limited the working day for children in cotton mills.
What we need now is a Schools Act limiting the school day to three hours.
I would suggest that school hours could be 9 am to 12 noon.
Very few children can concentrate on school work for more than 3 hours per day.
When children are not at school they can enjoy being children.
Interests will vary:
A. Children can work at home or in libraries on interesting homework projects. It would help if every child was given a computer.
B. They can join clubs involved in everything from sport to music to carpentry to journalism ....
C. They can become apprentices in safe and interesting occupations.
D. They can explore their world.
Mothers of younger children will be able to spend more time with their offspring.
6. Mothers of young children should stay at home and not go out to work.
7.BBC 1 television should show educational programmes only.
8.All schools should be run privately by non-profit making trusts.
8.Sack the bureaucrats.
According to an article about UK schools in Scotland on Sunday, 9 September 2007, (Alexander attacks 'bloated' education authorities) one in every four pounds of education funding never makes it to schools.
Studies show that of the average £5,160 spent on a child's education annually, £1,700 is swallowed up by local government.

It is time to close down the "bloated" education authorities. Get rid of the government bureaucrats, both local and national. Sack the education chiefs. It is these folks who have helped to ruin British schools.
We could learn from the Netherlands, when it comes to the organisation of schools.
In the Netherlands 70% of children are educated in private schools at the taxpayers' expense.

In the early hours of the 12th of July, 1947, two British field security NCOs, Sergeants Paice and Martin, were held up by five armed members of Irgun and driven off to a secret hiding place. Three weeks later their bodies were found hanging from a eucalyptus tree...

It was only by good fortune that a failure of the pocket-watch timer prevented detonation.
Another Irgun terrorist operating in Britain at the time was Monty Harris. Harris was sentenced to seven years imprisonment after being convicted of making thermite incendiary bombs on his premises at Gravel Street near Petticoat Lane. The use to which these devices were to be put was never established.

Is Kasab a poorly educated patsy?
In late 1998, black-clad ninjas murdered hundreds of innocent people in East Java, in Indonesia.
Some of the victims were mentally handicapped youths, easy targets.
Bloody decapitated heads were paraded around the streets.
Reportedly, the killings were part of a psychological terror campaign ( like that waged in 1965 by the US-advised Indonesian Army, when at least 500,000 civilians were killed.)
In 1998, as in '65, there was the distribution of death lists to terrify the public, the arrival of assassins in trucks, mutilation of corpses and display of body parts in public places.
Some observers believed that a faction of the US-trained army was fomenting terror to justify a military crackdown.
Army members were arrested by local authorities for the killings, and then mysteriously released.
Pro-democracy activists in Jakarta pointed out that'Ninja' is the term popularly used to designate the Army Special Forces (Kopassus) in disguise.

3. As mentioned above, it has been alleged that the American trained Indonesian military used mentally backward youths in their terror plots.
In 1998, elements of the Indonesian military wanted to topple Indonesia's President Wahid.
Allegedly, in East Java, members of the military dressed up as Ninjas.
Allegedly the military then dumped mental patients in villages.
When the village vigilantes arrived, they thought the mentally backward youths were Ninjas and chopped their heads off.
4. The mentally disturbed Marinus Van der Lubbe was accused by the Nazis of causing the Reichstag Fire. Many believe that he was manipulated by the Gestapo.
Historians Bahar and Kugel used evidence from Gestapo archives to argue that the fire was almost certainly started by the Nazis. They say that a commando group of at least three, and at most ten SA men led by Hans Georg Gewehr set the fire using self-lighting incendiaries, and that Van der Lubbe was brought to the scene later.[13]
5. 'Retarded Prisoner Was Informant For London Terror Raid', according to the London Mirror, June 18 2006
A MAN with an IQ of just 69 is believed to be the trigger behind the bungled terror raid in Forest Gate, East London.
Ex-waiter Mohammed Abu Bakr Mansha, 22, was a childhood pal of the innocent two brothers arrested in the dawn swoop by police two weeks ago.
In January he was jailed for six years for terror offences - and even described in court as an "utter incompetent". Soon afterwards, friends of brothers Abul Kahar, 23, and Abul Koyair, 20, visited him at top-security Belmarsh prison, in South-East London.
And, the Sunday Mirror has learned, that meeting sparked a surveillance operation on the men by the security services. According to a friend of the brothers, they laughed at constantly being followed. Our source said: "It was so obvious we treated it as a joke."
Then new information came through, said to include detailed drawings of a suicide vest.
That led to Operation Volga - the botched police operation to arrest the brothers, which led to Kahar being shot. After seven days in custody they were released without charge amid claims of incompetence and brutality.
Friends of the men believe dim Mansha was the trigger for the extraordinary operation.
Mansha's lawyer Sara O'Keefe revealed how her client was moved just before the raid from category 'A' Belmarsh to a softer category 'B' jail. She did not know why he got the favourable treatment, or whether he unwittingly helped MI5. Told that the brothers knew they were being followed she said: "That sounds about right."
Mansha - serving six years for possessing an old address of a British Army war hero, which police suspected was part of a terror plot - is appealing against his sentence. His trial revealed him to be educationally subnormal with an IQ of 69 - compared to the average of 100.
In the US that would make his court evidence unreliable.
If Mansha is confirmed as the trigger for the raid, it will be hugely humiliating for the security services in their battle against terror.
Police and intelligence officials claim the information was from a reliable single source who knew the brothers and whom the security services had dealt with before.
But our probe suggests that if Mansha was at the centre of the investigation, the intelligence is highly suspect and deeply embarrassing for MI5. Vajahat Sharif, lawyer for one brother, slammed the "scattergun" approach, saying it would lead to police targeting more innocent people. He said: "Where does this stop? What about Mansha's friends, family or neighbours? They know him, so presumably they're terrorists."
A friend of the brothers said they'd grown up with Mansha. He said: "We used to play in the street. Abu was strange. He'd suddenly lose it. Once while playing street football, he got upset as no one passed to him. He took out a gun and went pop, pop, pop."
He added: "Once I saw him pee in the eye of a man lying on the floor, for fun. I've seen him do all sorts, bad things, because he's a nutter - but he's no al-Qaeda bomber. He needs help, not banging up. A few guys visited him in jail. I didn't go as I didn't like him, but suddenly Kahar and Koyair were being followed. It was so obvious we all treated it like a joke. Maybe if I'd gone too they'd have raided my house and shot me. It's a f***ing outrage."
On June 2 at 4am 250 officers, including forensic and chemicals experts, waited at the terraced home of their parents Abul Kalam and Alif Jan. Bursting through a window, 50 cops met Kahar and Koyair on the stairs. Kahar was shot in the shoulder. They were held for seven days as police dug the garden and drilled holes into walls seeking a chemical device.
A week later police issued a grudging apology, outraging locals. The brothers are suing for distress, wrongful imprisonment and damage to their house. But a pal said: "They don't blame Abu, he's an old friend. But he's capable of saying and doing anything. If he did say anything it would be madness if the police took him seriously."
Ismail Khan, alias Abu Ismail, was reportedly the companion of alleged Mumbai gunman Mohammad Ajmal Amir ‘Kasab’.
DNA samples are being used in evidence.
Reportedly, the DNA samples provided by India for Ajmal and Ismail are identical and there is only a one-in-a-trillion chance of this happening in the case of twins.
"Media reports had said that in a dossier sent to Pakistan the DNA reports of arrested terrorist Mohammed Ajmal Kasab and the slain terrorist Abu Ismail were identical."
Reportedly, DNA on a number of items found on board a boat, allegedly used to transport the 'terrorists', matched exactly that of Kasab and his fellow attackers.
Abu Ismail Dera Ismail Khan or Ismail Khan is said to be the leader [1] of the 10 terrorrists who are accused of involvement in the November 2008 Mumbai attacks.
He is reported to be 25 years old[2], and was reportedly killed after commandeering a car.

On 18 February 2009, at the Mail on Sunday, Eileen Fairweather has an article about child abuse on the island of Jersey and about Lenny Harper the brave detective who formerly investigated this abuse:
1. Harper discovered three police employees were using police money to buy computers for private use. Some of these computers stored pornography.
2. Three detectives sold intelligence to women linked to drug dealers in return for sex. Despite film and audio evidence, no prosecution was brought.
3. One detective was secretly filmed being massaged by a lover. The lover then examined police files relating to international terrorism.
This detective also sent texts to another lover, a convicted criminal linked to a drugs gang.
4. Police accepted favours from a local businessman.
According to Harper: 'Some 16 to 20 officers admitted to me that they were being paid, in kind or otherwise.' This is ten per cent of the force.
'A file was submitted to the Attorney General seeking the prosecution of the businessman and a key officer for bribery and corruption. No case was brought.'
5. Harper refers to Jersey's culture of 'perks'.
'We prosecuted abusers at one school. A senior teacher told us, in all seriousness, that the children were abused only as some sort of reward for all the hard work he had put into them, like it was a teacher's perk.'
6. The former Jersey children's home at the centre of child abuse reports is called Haut de la Garenne.
In 2006, the commanding officer of the Jersey sea cadets was arrested in connection with child pornography offences.
Allegations against sea cadet volunteers went back years.
'Some of the victims were children from Haut de la Garenne, taken sailing for a treat. The victims described being taken into international waters, where guests were invited to abuse them.
'The allegations hadn't been investigated properly. 1. On 18 April 2009, the UK media reported on 'voting irregularities' in a candidate selection process which could lead to the daughter of one of Tony Blair’s 'cronies' being given a safe seat.
"It was discovered that the seal on a ballot box containing previously received ballot papers for the selection of Labour's parliamentary candidate for Erith and Thamesmead was broken."
Georgia Gould, 22, is the daughter of 'one of the architects of New Labour', Philip Gould.
About a third of the local party members registered to vote by post.
There have been reports that Ms Gould’s campaign has been giving out postal vote forms "pre-filled with voters’ names, addresses and telephone numbers."

Peter Kenyon, a member of Labour’s governing National Executive Committee, said he had concerns about the number of postal votes being cast.
It has been claimed that Steph Booth's supporters approached Labour Party members and helped them fill in their postal voting forms, which is against the rules.

Anti Terrorism Squad chief Hemant Karkare, Ashok Kamte and Inspector Vijay Salaskar were at home when they heard about the 'terrorist' attacks.
Joint commissioner of police Rakesh Maria, who was at the control room, directed Salaskar to the Cama Hospital.
On his way, Salaskar met Karkare and they headed towards Special Branch Office at Dhobi Talao, right behind the Cama Hospital. Kamte joined them there.
The three of them got into a vehicle.
They intercepted a 'terrorist'.
Someone sprayed bullets from an AK-47 hitting Salaskar, Karkare, and Kamte.

On the one hand, Thaksin could be seen as being a friend of the US elite, because he has favoured the idea of globalisation.

The populist Mr. Thaksin threatened their interests by obtaining a strong democratic mandate to start expensive government programs to benefit the rural poor, and also to open the door wider to the forces of globalization and competition."
On the other hand, Thaksin reportedly upset the US elite by:
1. withdrawing troops from Iraq
2. flirting with China
3. cracking down on drugs.
The US government may not be keen on any Thai government, whether under Thaksin or Abhisit, making certain deals with China.

"China and ASEAN had initially planned to ink an investment agreement at their summit.
"The agreement, if signed, together with a 2004 goods agreement and a 2007 services agreement, will formally complete the China-ASEAN free trade area negotiation process.
"Besides, the ASEAN-India Free Trade Agreement was to be signed on April 11.
"Now the plans, as well as other crucial discussions, have to be deferred."

Tam Paton
Tam Paton, the former manager of the 1970s pop band the Bay City Rollers, was linked to the investigations of a 'paedophile ring' that involved pop star Jonathan King, ex-Radio One deejay Chris Denning and TV entertainer Matthew Kelly. (Matthew Kelly in the clear over child sex - Telegraph)
Tam Paton was manager of the Bay City Rollers, a Scottish boy band from the 1970s.
Paton made millions out of the Bay City Rollers, who sold more than 100 million records.
Paton lived in a ten-bedroomed home, Little Kellerstain, along with various young men 'aged 20 upwards' who paid him £100 a week rent to live in luxury.
The houseguests also once included a 42-year-old female Bay City Roller fan.
Sarah Nelson, an Edinburgh University researcher and government adviser on sex crimes, has claimed that Paton was involved with an abuse ring which involving dozens of teenage boys.
Paton died of a heart attack in April 2009.
In 1982, Paton was convicted of abusing two boys aged 16 and 17.
In 2003, Paton was cleared of child sex abuse allegations.
In 2003 he was fined £200,000 after admitting to supplying cannabis but the punishment was overturned on appeal. In 2007, he was fined £20,000 for drug offences.
McKeown
Rollers frontman Les McKeown has recently claimed that he was raped by Paton when he was 18 or 19.
McKeown said Paton had threatened to kill him if he ever told the authorities about the abuse.
McKeown says Paton controlled teenagers using terror and drugs and Paton surrounded himself with "ned" henchmen.
Roller guitarist Pat McGlynn has accused Paton of attempted rape in an Australian hotel room in 1977.

Some members of the Bay City Rollers accused Paton of swindling them, but others remained supportive until his dying day.
Sarah Nelson has been researching sex abuse and wrote reports on the subject in 2004 and early 2009.
She states:
"I became very concerned in the course of both studies, but particularly in 2004, to come across repeated allegations of sexually abusing activities involving Mr Paton and rings of unknown others. I think it is safe to say there are dozens of alleged victims.
"They were mainly very vulnerable teenagers, for instance those from a care background who should have been under society's protection.
"They were groups of severely damaged young men, offenders who were now in the criminal justice system, but who had eventually revealed being abused in some kind of network involving Mr Paton.
"The allegations included that extreme fear of the repercussions of reporting kept them silent, along with their fear of entrapment if they spoke out, since they had themselves been inveigled into crime. They would not agree to speak out about the abuse...
"There were also allegations that abuse and criminal activities involving boys took place regularly at Mr Paton's home, which surveillance over a period would surely have revealed...
"Given that my own research report of February 2009 raised some very disquieting issues about apparently continuing risks to boys in care, especially those with a history of residential care and offending, I believe ... an inquiry must be instigated in order to protect others and to learn lessons for protecting these boys in future."

The emails were originally sent to Derek Draper, a close friend of Lord Mandelson.
In January 2009, Draper set up a website, LabourList.org. The site attacked Paul Staines, aka Guido Fawkes”. Staines flew to America to investigate Draper’s academic past.

Apparently, Pasha did not meet Holbrooke alone; but he did meet Holbrooke.
In other words, Pasha wants to give the appearance of not being a Washington puppet.
Reportedly, the Pakistan government has stated that it will not allow the United States to expand its war inside Pakistan; it will not allow U.S. soldiers to operate in Pakistan; and it insists that the CIA must stop its drone attacks.
Reportedly a former Pakistani air force chief, Air Chief Marshal (retired) Kaleem Saadat, has announced that the Pakistani Air Force is ready to shoot down the CIA's drones.
2. At a press briefing in Islamabad, Richard Holbrooke, America’s envoy to Pakistan and Afghanistan, and Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, appeared surprised at the 'straightforward' talk by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
3. In early April 2009, the leader of the main opposition party in Pakistan, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi of PML, told a press conference that his party favored rejecting U.S. aid if the trade off is to give up Pakistan’s national interest.

Sections of the the media can be very effective at revealing the faults of the police, the security services, and the criminal justice system, particularly in the UK.
This could suggest that the police officer in the mask had been ordered to kill or seriously injure someone.
2. Raids to foil an alleged Easter al-Qaeda bomb plot in the UK in April 2009, are yet to uncover any explosives or firearms, according to senior security sources.
Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Peter Fahy said: "There is no particular threat against any particular location ... I would like to say I would have no hesitation, or any of my family, in using any of those locations that have been mentioned."
In other words, the Easter al Qaeda plot may have been devised by the security services to discredit Pakistan and to distract attention from the murder of Tomlinson; and the police forgot to plant some explosives on the patsies?
Baby P was tortured and killed.
3. On 9 April 2009, the media revealed that the police could have saved Baby P from being killed if they had not been incompetent and useless.
The British Newspaper "The Telegraph" reported that it was in possession of a confidential document containing the minutes of a meeting organized by the National Criminal Intelligence Service (NCIS).
In attendance were "10 of Britain's most senior officers and policy makers."
The document states that "corrupt officers exist throughout the UK police service" and that the NCIS' intelligence director indicated during the meeting that "Corruption may have reached 'Level 2', the situation which occurs in some third world countries."
The document blames the drug trade and the vast amounts of cash inherent in the black market for the enormous level of corruption. It states, in part that "The enormous volume of money that is available to... drug importers and dealers means that very large sums can be offered to corrupt officers. Criminals are willing to pay to ensure their ability to operate."

April 16, 1998 - A vote of no-confidence is passed in Cleveland's Chief Constable Barry Shaw over his handling of the Mallon saga, at a packed public meeting in Middlesbrough.
November 24, 1998 - Det Supt Mallon is cleared of fiddling his expenses.
April 20, 1999 - Det Supt Mallon is cleared of wrongdoing in his relationship with the media.
July 9, 1999 - Calls are made for the police corruption inquiry to be wound up after it is revealed that some of the investigating officers are under investigation themselves. Ashok Kumar, MP for South Middlesbrough and East Cleveland, says the situation is turning into farce with public credibility in Cleveland Police now seriously at risk.
December 1, 1999 - Det Supt Mallon marks the second anniversary of his suspension with a scathing attack on the Police Complaints Authority which, he claims, smeared him. He predicts the investigation will end without criminal charges being laid against him, and he calls on Jack Straw to instigate a public inquiry so that the main players can be called to account.
February 10, 2000 - Det Supt Mallon acknowledges that he may never be allowed to return to policing, even if he is cleared of any criminal wrongdoing.
June 15, 2000 - MP Dari Taylor, member for Stockton South, claims Cleveland Police is losing public support.
June 20, 2000 - Crown Prosecution Service announces there will be no prosecution of Det Supt Mallon as there is insufficient evidence.
June 23, 2000 - Det Supt Mallon challenges his bosses to reinstate him.
August 8, 2000 - Det Supt Mallon makes a formal complaint to the Home Secretary that senior officers have conspired to pervert the course of justice. He asks solicitors to write to Jack Straw alleging the conspiracy against him. Members of Det Supt Mallon's legal team say they have compiled evidence to back the claims.
September 12, 2000 - Cleveland Police are accused of "scraping the barrel" to find 14 disciplinary charges against Det Supt Mallon. The Police Complaints Authority reveals it will charge Det Supt Mallon with 14 unspecified offences later in the week.
December 22, 2000 - The CPS reveals there will be no criminal charges arising from Operation Dollar, an investigation into Cleveland Police by West Yorkshire Police, into allegations made by Det Supt Mallon.
June 7, 2001 - The Cleveland officer whose allegations triggered the suspension of Det Supt Mallon is dismissed. Det Insp Russ Daglish, together with Det Con Brendon Whitehead, was sacked following a disciplinary hearing.
August 10, 2001 - Ray Mallon announces his intention to quit and seek election as Mayor of Middlesbrough.
September 28, 2001 - Sir John Hoddinott, who was leading a Home Office investigation into police corruption in the local area, is found dead in his hotel room.
January 3, 2002 - Det Supt Mallon is named Man of the Year 2001 by listeners of Radio Cleveland

On 8 March 2009, the media published photographs of a top UK anti-terrorism policeman, Bob Quick, as he was heading to a meeting at 10 Downing Street.
Quick appears to be deliberately, or accidentally, showing off a document labeled "Secret".
The document reportedly suggests to us that there really are Pakistani al Qaeda 'terrorists' out there.
After the publication of these photos, the police allegedly felt they had to make immediate arrests of the Pakistanis they had been watching. The arrest operation was brought forward 12 hours.
Reportedly, the USA and its allies want to break up Pakistan. It is important for the public to be brainwashed into seeing Pakistanis as being bad, dangerous people.
On 8 March 2009, ten Pakistanis, with suspected links to al Qaeda (CIA), were arrested by a counter-terrorism unit in North West England.
The timing is interesting.
The UK police want to distract attention away from the killing of Ian Tomlinson at the G20 summit; and want to emphasise that the police are facing dangerous 'terrorist' enemies. "I'm going to go way out on a limb here and suggest that this operation was carried out because Police felt the need to take the heat off of their comrades in the City of London Police Force."-[Deliberate?] 'Security leak' prompts arrests in suspected al Qaeda plot.
In 1986, Captain Alan West of the British navy removed secret documents from the Ministry of Defence 'without permission', carried them in his coat pocket when they should have been in a security briefcase, and then lost the documents.
It is suspected that the navy wanted the secret documents, which were about naval cuts, to be lost, and then found by the media.
West got promoted.
From 1989 to 1992 West was in charge of Naval Intelligence. In 1997 West was appointed Chief of Defence Intelligence.
The 9 11 attacks took place on 11 September 2001. In 2002, West was promoted to become head of the navy as First Sea Lord.
In 2006, West became Chairman of the QinetiQ Defence Advisory Board. Qinetiq is a defence technology company.
Admiral Sir Alan West became Gordon Brown's security minister.
