On 8 November, 2008, the Maharashtra Anti Terror Squad revealed that Lt Colonel Srikant Purohit of the Indian military was involved in a blast that killed people in Malegaon in September 2007.

The Anti Terror Squad has also found out that Purohit attended secret meetings of the 'fascist' Hindu group Abhinav Bharat.Now it is being reported that Lt Col Srikant Prasad Purohit, the Army officer arrested in the Malegaon case, was involved in other blasts as well. 2. The CIA appears to have control over certain people within the Pakistan military?

According to the TIMES OF INDIA (9 10 01): In the summer of 2001, General Mahmoud Ahmad, chief of the US trained Pakistan intelligence service, arranged for $100,000 to be given to Mohammed Atta (alleged hijacker on 11 Sept).

General Mahmoud arrived in the USA on 4 September 2001 and, over the days that followed, had regular consultations with his counterparts at the CIA and Pentagon.

3. In 2008, US national Ken Haywood, reportedly with the help of the US embassy, fled from India. (Cached)

He was being investigated for terrorism.

Ken Haywood's computer was used to send a "terrorist" e-mail minutes before bomb blasts in Ahmedabad, in July 2008.

Reportedly, Haywood has links to Abdur Subhan Qureshi, alias Taufique Bilal and Tauqir, reportedly the top terrorist in India.

The Indian Express reported on 14 August 2008 that the company's Mumbai office 'is located in two small adjoining rented rooms on the ground floor of Sanpada railway station complex', and that 'the two rooms also serve as prayer rooms for Potter's House... part of the Christian Fellowship Ministries based in Arizona.'

The above map first appeared among American neoconservatives.

It was used in an article by Ralph Peters entitled "Blood Borders: How a Better Middle East Would Look," published in Armed Forces Journal.

A senior Pakistani government official has said that "One of the biggest fears of the Pakistani military planners is the collaboration between India and Afghanistan to destroy Pakistan. Some people feel the United States is colluding in this." (Redrawn map has Pakistan wary)

Some commentators suggest that the United States is financing militants in order to tie down the Pakistani army and leave the way open for an American advance into Pakistan.


On 3 December 2008, at Al Ahram Weekly, Abdus Sattar Ghazali wrote 'Behind the scenes' (Cached)

He tells us about the US-UK-Israel agenda for the Middle East and South Asia region.

Among the points made:

1. The Global Trends 2025 report by Thomas Fingar, US deputy director of national intelligence for analysis, suggests that Pakistan may become much smaller.

2. The New York Times reported on a "New Middle East" map published in 2006 by the US Air Force Journal along with an article by retired Lieutenant-Colonel Ralph Peters, entitled, "How a better Middle East would look?" The map and Peters suggested that a 'natural' Pakistan would be much smaller than today.

3. It can be argued that redrawing the map, from the Lebanon and Syria to Anatolia, Arabia, the Persian Gulf, the Iranian Plateau and South Asia is part of a longstanding Anglo-American and Israeli agenda.



4. "Constructive chaos" (violence and war) is the means to gradually achieve this objective.

5. There is a rapidly deteriorating situation in Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) in the wake of frequent US missile attacks and Pakistan's military operations.

The FATA region, along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, was peaceful before the US invasion of Afghanistan in 2001.

The commander of US forces in Afghanistan, General David McKiernan, was asked by a group of parliamentarians meeting with him at the residency of the US ambassador in Islamabad: Why did you Americans come to Afghanistan when it was so peaceful before you got there?

6. Some commentators suggest that the US is financing the Taliban. The point is to bog down the Pakistani army, they say, leaving the way open for the Americans to grab Pakistan's nuclear weapons.

Recently, in the officers' mess in Bajaur, the northern tribal region where the Pakistani army is stuck fighting militants, one officer offered his own theory: Osama bin Laden did not exist, he told a visiting journalist. Rather, he was a creation of the Americans, who needed an excuse to invade Afghanistan and encroach upon Pakistan.

Pinhas Lavon and Golda Meir. The Lavon Affair was an Israeli covert operation in Egypt, known as Operation Susannah, in which Israeli military intelligence planted bombs in Egyptian, American and British-owned targets in Egypt in the summer of 1954 in the hopes that "the Muslim Brotherhood, the Communists, 'unspecified malcontents' or 'local nationalists'" would be blamed.[1] It became known as the Lavon Affair after the Israeli defense minister Pinhas Lavon, who was forced to resign because of the incident. Israel admitted responsibility in 2005 when Israeli President Moshe Katzav honored the nine Egyptian Jewish agents who were involved.[2]


1. There is a suspicion that the CIA and Mossad want to topple Egypt's President Mubarak.

A. Ian Bremmer, at Foreign Policy, 23 February 2009, writes that "Mubarak wants Obama to recognize that he will not play the role of America's obedient servant. When Washington applies pressure, Egypt can and will say no." (Mubarak flexes his muscles)

B. According to a recent U.S. National Intelligence Council report, "Mubarak is getting older and no longer has the energy to provide the leadership he once did," - US report: Saudis replacing Egypt as regional leader

2. On 22 February 2009, in Cairo, a bomb exploded outside a mosque.

The blast ripped through a street lined with cafes and restaurants in Khan al-Khalili, a market that is one of Cairo's main tourist attractions.

"The blast killed a French teenager and wounded 25 people, most of them tourists." (Suspects detained in Cairo blast)

"Blood stained the stones in front of the mosque, where worshipers had been conducting evening prayers." (Cairo plaza struck by fatal blast)

According to Reuters, at least one device exploded after being thrown from a motorcycle. (Bomb detonated in crowded Cairo tourist area).

Earlier reports had said bombs were planted under a seat near a cafe just outside the al-Hussein Hotel.(Al Jazeera English - Middle East - Three arrested over Cairo bombing).

Egyptian state news agency MENA, quoting eyewitnesses, said the devices were thrown from the roof of a nearby hotel. (Two foreigners among four dead in Cairo bomb attack)

"We stood next to the bench where a bomb would explode 20 minutes later." - Eyewitness: Cairo blast

"I saw a beggar. ... The beggar was terribly injured and he had definitely died. I saw his body thrown [about 13 feet] into the air." EGYPT: Cairo bomb witness recalls terrifying scene

The attack was the first deadly violence against Westerners in Egypt since 2006. As yet there has been no claim of responsibility.

Terror attacks in the past have been the work of Mossad and its friends.

3. In the Lavon affair, 1954, Israeli agents planted bombs in several buildings in Egypt, and left evidence behind implicating Arabs as the culprits.

4. According to one press report (Egypt blast fuels speculation):

On the streets around the site of Sunday’s attack ... many blamed Israel.

"I think Israel did it this time to harm the Egyptian tourism industry, which is like the blood that moves the country," said Mohsin al-Hindawi, 53, who sells traditional Egyptian robes to tourists.

"No Egyptian Muslim or Christian would do something like this in a sacred place like Hussein Square," he said.

"Mark my words, the Israelis are behind it. It takes a lot of dollars to carry out these attacks."
Mustafa al-Hinawi, the 45-year-old owner of a perfume shop nearby, agreed.

"Israel did this because they are passing through a phase of instability and they want to harm Egypt’s peace and security by hitting our tourism," he told dpa.

Did the spooky people at National Geographic know in advance about the Cairo bombing?

The USA is not happy with Mubarak.

The Muslim Brotherhood, in 2005, won 88 seats in the lower house of parliament and became the country's largest opposition bloc.

Sinai is part of Egypt. But Israel would like it to be part of Greater Israel.

Many tourists are now going to the Red Sea Riviera, in Egypt's Sinai.

The Sinai, which includes Sharm el Sheikh, is now Egypt's top tourism destination.

The problem is that the Bedouin, the largest group who live in the Sinai, have been treated badly by the Cairo government.

The Bedouin feel that Cairo has treated them in the same racist way that the Israelis have treated the Palestinians.

The Bedouin feel that their grazing grounds have been stolen to make way for hotels owned by people from Cairo.

The Bedouin have seen their camps and homes bulldozed by the rich guys from the capital.

And Israel may trick some of the Bedouin into involvement in acts of terrorism.

Israel would like the Sinai to become part of Greater Israel.



Matthew Teague, in the National Geographic, March 2009, National Geographic Magazine - NGM.com, reminds us that this area has seen several recent wars.

There were wars involving Israel and Egypt in 1956, 1967, and 1973.

Israel took over the Sinai in 1973, following the Six Day War.

Some of the Bedouin say they were treated better by the Israelis than by the folks from Cairo.

In 1979 Egypt and Israel signed a peace deal, and tourism was able to develop in the Sinai, to the advantage of the folks from Cairo and to the disadvantage of the Bedouin.

Reportedly, in 2002, a young dentist called Khalid Al Masaid formed Tawhid wa Jihad, Unity and Holy War.

Reportedly, in the spring of 2004, Iyad Salah, a follower of the dentist Al Masaid, had recruited a small group of conspirators.

In 2004 there were 'terrorist' attacks in TABA.

In 2005, there were 'terrorist' attacks in the area of Sharm el Sheikh.

In 2006, there were 'terrorist' attacks in the area of Dahab.

Greater Israel is to include the Sinai

Retired General Salah al-Din Salim, an Egyptian researcher at the Strategic Studies Institute in Cairo, said that it could not be ruled out that the Israeli Mossad was involved in the terror attack in Dahab.

"The Mossad's ability to penetrate the Bedouins in Sinai is known," Salim said in an interview with al-Jazeera. (Egyptian analyst: Can't rule out that Mossad was involved in ...)

Dr. Abdallah Al-Ash'al , former assistant to the Egyptian foreign minister and lecturer on international law at Cairo University , was quoted on the internet site http://www.islamonline.net/: "All of the signs indicate that Israeli hands were [behind the attacks]. The area is close to Israel, and Israel was the first to warn its citizens not to go to Sinai…" [5]

In the Egyptian Weekly Nahdat Misr, Dr. Abdallah Al-Ash'al said that Israel "is interested in embarrassing Egypt and in hurting Egyptian tourism, just as the Palestinian Intifada hurt Israeli tourism… It is in Israel's interest that there be an Egyptian response to what happened, since it wants Egypt to join the American campaign against terrorism… It is likely that Israel recruited some people in coordination with terrorist groups in order to hurt Egypt… Israel's goal in this operation was to bring terrorism back to Egypt…" [6]

General Fuad Allam , former deputy head of the Egyptian state security service , said to Nahdat Misr : "None of the suspects in these bombings – whether Egypt, Palestine, or Al-Qa'ida – have anything to gain [from carrying out the bombings], except for Israel. All of the evidence points to the conclusion that the Israeli Mossad is the first and last to gain from this operation… As for the Palestinian factions, no one suspects that they were involved in this incident – except for Israel, which accuses them – unless the Mossad got one of these factions involved [in carrying out the attacks]." [7]

Muhammad Abd Al-Fattah Omar , former assistant to the Egyptian interior minister , said to http://www.islamonline.net/: "For every action we need to search first for who stands to gain from it… Israel is the only one who benefits from these explosions. This is due to the fact that the only two [elements] that can enter the area with ease are the Israelis and their agents… The Israeli right was going through a crisis as a result of the American pressure on Sharon, after the veto that America cast [at the U.N.] to save Israel from the proposal to condemn it for the massacres it is conducting against the Palestinians in Gaza. [Israel] had no choice but to undertake an action that would ease the American pressure on the area and would put the ball in the Americans' court, at least until the elections…" [8]

Dr. Dhiaa Rashwan, from the Egyptian Al-Ahram newspaper's Center for Diplomatic and Strategic Studies , said: "The events in Sinai were not planned by Islamists, neither Egyptian nor Al-Qa'ida… The one who gained the most from this operation was Israel, and the one who was hurt most was Egypt. In Taba there is no population from which an Islamist movement could spring, it has only tourists and security forces, and thus there is no Islamist activity in this sensitive region. In addition, the intensive security presence prevents the importing of such huge quantities of explosives…

"This operation is the [work] of a security apparatus, or else was carried out in cooperation with a major security apparatus, and the one who gained the most was Israel, and thus one should attribute [the operation] to Israel. For the Israeli security [apparatuses] it is easy to carry out an operation on lands adjacent to its borders and then to retreat into Israel, whereas it would be difficult for it to carry out such a thing deep in Egyptian lands." [9]

The National Geographic appears to have become the mouthpiece of the CIA.

Just before 9 11, the National geographic was preparing maps and an article on Afghanistan.

If you want to know which countries the Pentagon is about to invade, look at the National Geographic.

The edition of the magazine, dated November 2004, has an article on the Geography of Terror. The article, written by Walter Laqueur who recently retired from the Kissinger Chair at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, seems full of obvious disinformation.

The article refers to a number of countries:

Ireland – the article fails to mention US financing of terror groups, and the allegation that most of the worst incidents were the work of the UK security services.

Europe – the article fails to mention the CIA links to the terror which hit Italy in the 1980s. Remember the bombs in railway stations that ‘were the work of fascist groups with CIA connections’.

Indonesia – the article fails to mention (1) the CIA terror used to topple President Sukarno and then President Suharto (2) the US training of the generals who have been associated with terror in East Timor, the Spice Islands and elsewhere (3) the links between the US trained Indonesian military and ‘Moslem’ terror groups such as Laskar Jihad (4) the alleged involvement of the Indonesian military in the Bali bomb.

Palestine – the article does not make it clear that (1) the Palestinians were driven from their land by Jewish terrorist groups (2) the Israelis initially aided Hamas in order to weaken Arafat (3) the USA supports Israel in its occupation of Palestinian land and defiance of UN resolutions and in its possession of weapons of mass destruction.

Iraq – the article fails to mention the body of evidence that Saddam was a CIA agent and was put into power by the USA.

Al Qaeda – the article promotes the myth of al Qaeda. It fails to mention (1) the bin Laden links to the Bush family (2) bin Laden’s Jewish mother (3) bin Laden’s death in December 2001 (4) the controlled explosions that brought down the Twin Towers on 9 11 (5) the training of the alleged hijackers at US military bases.

The National Geographic is supposed to be about geography. But what do we get? We get endless stuff about:

Archaeology – particularly in the Mayan world.

History.

Biology – particularly fish and apes.

Astronomy

CIA AND MOSSAD IN EGYPT

On 22 February 2009, in Cairo, a bomb exploded outside a mosque.

The blast ripped through a street lined with cafes and restaurants in Khan al-Khalili, a market that is one of Cairo's main tourist attractions.

"The blast killed a French teenager and wounded 25 people, most of them tourists." (Suspects detained in Cairo blast)

"Blood stained the stones in front of the mosque, where worshipers had been conducting evening prayers." (Cairo plaza struck by fatal blast)

According to Reuters, at least one device exploded after being thrown from a motorcycle. (Bomb detonated in crowded Cairo tourist area).

Earlier reports had said bombs were planted under a seat near a cafe just outside the al-Hussein Hotel.(Al Jazeera English - Middle East - Three arrested over Cairo bombing).

Egyptian state news agency MENA, quoting eyewitnesses, said the devices were thrown from the roof of a nearby hotel. (Two foreigners among four dead in Cairo bomb attack)

The attack was the first deadly violence against Westerners in Egypt since 2006. As yet there has been no claim of responsibility.

Terror attacks in the past have been the work of Mossad and its friends.

In the Lavon affair, 1954, Israeli agents planted bombs in several buildings in Egypt, and left evidence behind implicating Arabs as the culprits.

In 1979 Egypt and Israel signed a peace deal, and tourism was able to develop in the Sinai, to the advantage of the folks from Cairo and to the disadvantage of the Bedouin.

Reportedly, in 2002, a young dentist called Khalid Al Masaid formed Tawhid wa Jihad, Unity and Holy War.

Reportedly, in the spring of 2004, Iyad Salah, a follower of the dentist Al Masaid, had recruited a small group of conspirators.

In 2004 there were 'terrorist' attacks in TABA.

In 2005, there were 'terrorist' attacks in the area of Sharm el Sheikh.

In 2006, there were 'terrorist' attacks in the area of Dahab.

Greater Israel is to include the Sinai

Retired General Salah al-Din Salim, an Egyptian researcher at the Strategic Studies Institute in Cairo, said that it could not be ruled out that the Israeli Mossad was involved in the terror attack in Dahab.

"The Mossad's ability to penetrate the Bedouins in Sinai is known," Salim said in an interview with al-Jazeera. (Egyptian analyst: Can't rule out that Mossad was involved in ...)

Dr. Abdallah Al-Ash'al , former assistant to the Egyptian foreign minister and lecturer on international law at Cairo University , was quoted on the internet site http://www.islamonline.net/: "All of the signs indicate that Israeli hands were [behind the attacks]. The area is close to Israel, and Israel was the first to warn its citizens not to go to Sinai…" [5]

In the Egyptian Weekly Nahdat Misr, Dr. Abdallah Al-Ash'al said that Israel "is interested in embarrassing Egypt and in hurting Egyptian tourism, just as the Palestinian Intifada hurt Israeli tourism… It is in Israel's interest that there be an Egyptian response to what happened, since it wants Egypt to join the American campaign against terrorism… It is likely that Israel recruited some people in coordination with terrorist groups in order to hurt Egypt… Israel's goal in this operation was to bring terrorism back to Egypt…" [6]

General Fuad Allam , former deputy head of the Egyptian state security service , said to Nahdat Misr : "None of the suspects in these bombings – whether Egypt, Palestine, or Al-Qa'ida – have anything to gain [from carrying out the bombings], except for Israel. All of the evidence points to the conclusion that the Israeli Mossad is the first and last to gain from this operation… As for the Palestinian factions, no one suspects that they were involved in this incident – except for Israel, which accuses them – unless the Mossad got one of these factions involved [in carrying out the attacks]." [7]

Muhammad Abd Al-Fattah Omar , former assistant to the Egyptian interior minister , said to http://www.islamonline.net/: "For every action we need to search first for who stands to gain from it… Israel is the only one who benefits from these explosions. This is due to the fact that the only two [elements] that can enter the area with ease are the Israelis and their agents… The Israeli right was going through a crisis as a result of the American pressure on Sharon, after the veto that America cast [at the U.N.] to save Israel from the proposal to condemn it for the massacres it is conducting against the Palestinians in Gaza. [Israel] had no choice but to undertake an action that would ease the American pressure on the area and would put the ball in the Americans' court, at least until the elections…" [8]

Dr. Dhiaa Rashwan, from the Egyptian Al-Ahram newspaper's Center for Diplomatic and Strategic Studies , said: "The events in Sinai were not planned by Islamists, neither Egyptian nor Al-Qa'ida… The one who gained the most from this operation was Israel, and the one who was hurt most was Egypt. In Taba there is no population from which an Islamist movement could spring, it has only tourists and security forces, and thus there is no Islamist activity in this sensitive region. In addition, the intensive security presence prevents the importing of such huge quantities of explosives…

"This operation is the [work] of a security apparatus, or else was carried out in cooperation with a major security apparatus, and the one who gained the most was Israel, and thus one should attribute [the operation] to Israel. For the Israeli security [apparatuses] it is easy to carry out an operation on lands adjacent to its borders and then to retreat into Israel, whereas it would be difficult for it to carry out such a thing deep in Egyptian lands." The National Geographic appears to have become the mouthpiece of the CIA.

Just before 9 11, the National geographic was preparing maps and an article on Afghanistan.

If you want to know which countries the Pentagon is about to invade, look at the National Geographic.

The edition of the magazine, dated November 2004, has an article on the Geography of Terror. The article, written by Walter Laqueur who recently retired from the Kissinger Chair at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, seems full of obvious disinformation.

The article refers to a number of countries:

Ireland – the article fails to mention US financing of terror groups, and the allegation that most of the worst incidents were the work of the UK security services.

Europe – the article fails to mention the CIA links to the terror which hit Italy in the 1980s. Remember the bombs in railway stations that ‘were the work of fascist groups with CIA connections’.

Indonesia – the article fails to mention (1) the CIA terror used to topple President Sukarno and then President Suharto (2) the US training of the generals who have been associated with terror in East Timor, the Spice Islands and elsewhere (3) the links between the US trained Indonesian military and ‘Moslem’ terror groups such as Laskar Jihad (4) the alleged involvement of the Indonesian military in the Bali bomb.

Palestine – the article does not make it clear that (1) the Palestinians were driven from their land by Jewish terrorist groups (2) the Israelis initially aided Hamas in order to weaken Arafat (3) the USA supports Israel in its occupation of Palestinian land and defiance of UN resolutions and in its possession of weapons of mass destruction.

Iraq – the article fails to mention the body of evidence that Saddam was a CIA agent and was put into power by the USA.

Al Qaeda – the article promotes the myth of al Qaeda. It fails to mention (1) the bin Laden links to the Bush family (2) bin Laden’s Jewish mother (3) bin Laden’s death in December 2001 (4) the controlled explosions that brought down the Twin Towers on 9 11 (5) the training of the alleged hijackers at US military bases.

The National Geographic is supposed to be about geography. But what do we get? We get endless stuff about:

Archaeology – particularly in the Mayan world.

History.

Biology – particularly fish and apes.

What links might there be between Madoff and the Jewish Mafia and Forest Hills?

Allegedly, this larger operation involved top people from the George W. Bush and Barack Obama administrations, as well as the Russian-Israeli Mafia.

3. One of the investors in Madoff’s scam was the Bank of New York (BONY).

4. BONY was the subject of a Wayne Madsen Report on the activities of the Russian-Israeli mob:

"Forest Hills has been identified by the FBI as a major center for both the Russian-Israeli Mafia and Mossad and it is a place where the two interests often cooperate.

OPERATION SPIDERWEB was a joint FBI-EUROPOL operation in 2002.

It led to the arrest of 20 Russian-Israeli dual citizens on charges of money laundering.

The laundering involved the Bank of New York (BONY) and other groups.

The money-laundering network included a firm called Benex.

Benex is connected to 'Bill Clinton-pardoned Mossad figure' Marc Rich.

Benex’s office was in Forest Hills in the same building where Grigori Loutchansky had the HQs of two of his companies.

"Loutchansky is a Latvian-born Israeli who laundered billions through his Vienna-based NORDEX firm.

"National Security Agency (NSA) signals intercepts have reportedly yielded intelligence on Loutchansky’s role in the smuggling of nuclear materials.

"Loutchansky also was closely linked to Clinton’s 1996 re-election campaign through New York real estate magnate and Democratic donor Sam Dombs. . . .

Abraham was convicted in a plot to smuggle surface-to-air missile launchers from Russia into the United States, four months after 9/11.

"Abraham, an Afghan Jew, was linked not only to Mossad but to the Saudi Royal Family."

A. According to The Herald, 19 February 2009, the Crown is fighting to keep 48 pieces of Lockerbie trial evidence secret

"Prosecutors are trying to keep secret 48 pieces of evidence relating to the Lockerbie trial, including a secret fax that could discredit a key Crown witness.

"Lawyers for Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al Megrahi, the man convicted of the 1988 bombing, yesterday began a challenge over material they believe will free their terminally ill client.

"But the Crown Office and the UK Advocate General are fighting against disclosure."

B. Lockerbie witness ‘put up for reward’

Tony Gauci was a key Lockerbie witness.

According to The Herald, on 20 February 2009, previously undisclosed documents show that Scottish police recommended to US authorities that both the main witness in the Lockerbie trial (Gauci) and his brother should be paid up to $3m.


In 1988, the FBI's Robert Mueller (above) supervised the Lockerbie Bombing investigation.

"He successfully kept the CIA's connection to the bombing from becoming public.

"The CIA and FBI took control of the crash scene for the first day (keeping Scottish police at bay), searching through and removing numerous pieces of evidence and luggage from the wreckage to obscure the connections of the bombing to the CIA special team that was on board the aircraft.

Edward Bollier of MEBO

In the Lockerbie Bombing (PanAm 103) case, it appears that the CIA and its friends arranged to have a 'timer' stolen from the Swiss firm of MEBO.

It appears that the security services then pretended that this 'timer' was the one used in the Lockerbie Bombing.

The Herald letters column, 23 August 2008, has a letter about the PanAm 103 - Lockerbie Bombing entitled High Court decision rapid and welcome

The author of the letter writes:

"Probably the most crucial item of physical evidence, namely the timer fragment PT35B, was not even tested for explosive residues."

"Few folks will be aware of two important background features of the Lockerbie investigation and trial. Both are verified by historical and declassified documents and available for easy reference.

"1. The forensic scientist who claimed to be the first to find the famous bomb fragment was, a year after finding it, revealed by a Parliamentary investigation by Sir John May to be a co-conspirator with two colleagues in the with-holding of evidence in the trial of the alleged IRA Maguire Seven.

"The Maguires were released on appeal.

"This aspect was under-investigated by the Lockerbie trial defence, and ignored by the judges in the Lockerbie judgment.

"2. The career of the American agent in overall charge of the investigation includes several years involvement with the murderous Nicaraguan campaign, working alongside Colonel Oliver North in the Iran-Contra affair of the mid-eighties, and the covert arming of the Afghanistan Mujahadeen in the late eighties.

"The man was not called to give evidence at the Lockerbie trial.

"In an on-camera interview, he admitted that his name was on the original list of witnesses, but he presumed that the US authorities had removed it.

Timer device

Two years after the Lockerbie bomb, investigators allegedly found a fragment of a timer device.

It has been alleged that the evidence concerning the timer fragment was fabricated by the CIA and its friends in order to implicate Libya in the bombing.

In the summer of 2007, a report from Darik Radio DARIK News revealed a confession:

"Ulrich Lumpert, a Swiss electronic engineer and former employee at the Zurich-based MEBO Ltd Telecommunication, has admitted that he stole from the company a hand manufactured MST-13 Timer PC-Board that was later used as evidence against the defendant, Libyan agent Abdel Basset al-Megrahi.

Lumpert says: "I realized that the MST-13 PC-board, after it was handed over by me without permission was misused for deliberate politically criminal 'action'." - Lockerbie Bombing Trial Faces U-Turn after Perjury Confession

On 19 February 2006, The Mail on Sunday reported that new forensic tests have been carried out by the lawyers representing Al Megrahi, the Libyan jailed in connection with the Lockerbie bombing.

Defence experts simulated the Lockerbie explosion. The results showed that the device which detonated the bomb could not have survived the explosion.

According to The Mail on Sunday: "Sources close to Megrahi's lawyers said the new tests pointed to the evidence having been planted at the scene of the crash...

"The source added that Megrahi's legal team claimed they had obtained 'clear proof' that investigators had 'planted and manipulated' evidence...

"He said... if there is any justice in Scotland... certain Scottish police officers will be jailed for their part in the proceedings...

"Megrahi's lawyers already have a sworn statement from a retired Scottish police officer confirming that evidence had been planted to secure the Libyan's conviction.

"A similar claim was made by a former CIA agent...

"The ex-CIA man (claimed) that the fragment of circuit board had been planted under orders from a very high level in the organisation...

"The fragment was found by two policeman during a search of a wood near Newcastleton, 35 miles from Lockerbie.

"It was later identified by the CIA's Thomas Thurman as being part of a sophisticated timer device made by the Swiss firm of Mebo.

"Thurman was later unmasked as a fraud who had given false evidence in American murder trials..."


Orr

Who were the people involved in the Lockerbie investigation and trial?

John Orr, joint head of CID in Strathclyde police, was the chief investigating officer in the Lockerbie case. Sir John Orr got promoted to Chief Constable of Strathclyde Police (1995 to 2001). (The Herald : News: OTHER NEWS)

'The Golfer' is the former Scottish police chief who has given lawyers a signed statement claiming that key evidence in the Lockerbie bombing trial was fabricated. 'The retired officer - of assistant chief constable rank or higher - has testified that the CIA planted the tiny fragment of circuit board crucial in convicting a Libyan for the 1989 mass murder of 270 people.' Two state prosecutors from the US Department of Justice played an important role in the Lockerbie trial. The United Nations observer at the Lockerbie trial, Dr Hans Kochler, reported that two state prosecutors from the US Department of Justice were in court, and, although not listed in any of the official documents about the Court's officers, they were constantly briefing Scottish prosecutors. Lord Fraser was the lord advocate (1989-92) who initiated the case against Megrahi. On 20 December 2006 Lord Fraser was detained by police after they were called to Dundee Airport following reports of a disturbance on board an aircraft. Lord Fraser was charged with disorderly conduct. It was announced on 2 February 2007 that the Crown Office had dropped these charges due to insufficient evidence that an offence had been committed.

Lord Hardie, as Lord Advocate 1997-2000, was due to lead the prosecution team in the Lockerbie trial. Lord Hardie resigned just before the Lockerbie trial began. There were rumours that there was a lack of evidence to convict the Libyans.

Colin Boyd was Lord Hardie's successor as Lord Advocate. He became Lord Boyd of Duncansby.

Norman McFadyen, then regional procurator-fiscal for Edinburgh, headed the Crown Office trial team at Camp Zeist in the Netherlands. He got promoted to Crown Agent, head of department for the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.

Alan Turnbull, QC, was one of the two senior counsel leading the Crown team in the Lockerbie trial. In 2006, he became Scotland's youngest judge at the age of 47.

Advocate-depute Alastair Campbell, QC, was senior prosecution counsel in the Lockerbie trial. In 2003, he was appointed a judge and became Lord Bracadale.

Bill Taylor, QC, was defence counsel for Megrahi at Camp Zeist. He has been heavily criticised for failing to defend Megrahi successfully. ( We have removed an error here pointed out to us by The Lockerbie Case )

Alistair Duff was the defence lawyer for Megrahi.

Professor Hans Koechler, the United Nations' observer at the Lockerbie trial and appeal, has accused Mr Taylor and Mr Duff of betraying Megrahi by failing to represent him properly.

Eddie MacKechnie was solicitor to Fhimah who was acquitted.

Tony Gauci was the key crown witness and owner of the Maltese shop where Megrahi was said to have bought the clothing reportedly placed around the bomb.

At the trial, Tony Gauci was uncertain about the date he sold the clothes in question, and was not sure that it was Megrahi to whom they were sold.

Gauci gave two earlier statements in which he identified convicted Egyptian terrorist Abu Talb as the person who bought clothing.

Gauci gave earlier statements saying he did not sell a shirt to the man but six months later remembered selling shirts and the man. Two of Gauci's statements are missing.

A babygro said to have been wrapped around the bomb and shown to the court blown to pieces was recovered intact, according to a statement from the woman who found it.

Five years after the trial, Lord Fraser allegedly described Gauci as a “simple” man who might have been “easily led”. Lord Fraser was the lord advocate (1989-92) who initiated the case against Megrahi.

The Strathclyde police reportedly arranged for Gauci to go fishing, hillwalking and birdwatching in the Scottish Highlands. The Mail on Sunday newspaper said Gauci had been recorded on tape talking about five or six visits he had made to Scotland since 1988. J Thomas Thurman was the FBI man who identified a fragment of a circuit board from a timing device which, he said, was from the Lockerbie bomb. Thurman was later removed from his FBI job after a US Department of Justice investigation concluded his FBI forensics lab had a record of fabricating evidence.

Edwin Bollier is head of the Swiss-based Mebo group which was supposed to have sold the timing device reportedly used in the Lockerbie bomb. Bollier claims that one of his employees supplied the Scottish police with a stolen timing device, which was then presented in the trial as having been found amidst the plane's wreckage.

The other two judges were Lord Coulsfield and Lord MacLean.

Lord Cullen was head of the five-judge panel which presided over the appeal of Megrahi at Camp Zeist in 2002. The other four judges were: Lord Kirkwood, Lord Osborne, Lord Macfadyen, and Lord Nimmo Smith.

JURY IN RETRIAL IS DISMISSED

1. You may remember the liquid bomb plot which led to a trial.

On 8 September 2008, the jury did not find any of the defendants guilty of conspiring to target aircraft.

There was a retrial.

On 18 February 2009, it was announced that the jury in the trial of the eight men accused of conspiring to murder by blowing up transatlantic airliners has been discharged for "legal reasons".

It is not yet known why the judge, Mr Justice Henriques, took his decision to discharge the jury.

'Bomb plot' case jury dismissed

Presumably there was a risk that the jury would find the 8 men not guilty.

2. In Ireland, on 10 February 2009, 60-year-old Anthony John Hill appeared in the High Court.

He was wanted in the UK on a charge of perverting the course of justice during the trial of men linked to 7 July 2005 London bomb attacks.

Hill, orginally from Sheffield, was arrested on a warrant issued by the authorities in Britain.

It is alleged he sent DVDs entitled "7/7 Ripple Effect" to the jury, the judge and members of the victims' families.

3. In the present liquid bomb plot trial, seven of the men are undergoing a retrial. One is facing charges for the first time. The original trial failed to get the verdict the government wanted.

He said the explosives in question could not possibly have been produced on the plane.

What happened in court, back in September 2008?

Mohammed Gulzar, was found not guilty on all charges.

The jury failed to reach any verdict on the four remaining defendants – Arafat Waheed Khan, Ibrahim Savant, Waheed Zaman and Umar Islam.

Abdulla Ahmed Ali, 27, Assad Sarwar, 28, and Tanvir Hussain, 27, claimed they were merely planning a non-lethal explosion in London as a publicity stunt to draw attention to a supposed documentary they were preparing on the plight of Muslims in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The jury did not find these three guilty of tring to blow up aircraft.

However, the jury found these three guilty of planning a lethal explosion in London.

Rashid Rauf works for the security services?

The alleged ringleader of the alleged plot to blow up multiple transatlantic airliners using liquid explosives is Rashid Rauf.

The BBC reported in December 2006 as follows

"A Pakistani judge has ruled there is not enough evidence to try a key suspect in an alleged airline bomb plot on terrorism charges.

"He has moved the case of Rashid Rauf, a Briton, from an anti-terrorism court to a regular court, where he faces lesser charges such as forgery...

"An anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi found no evidence that he had been involved in terrorist activities or that he belonged to a terrorist organisation."

Rashid Rauf is reportedly involved with the Lashkar-e-Toiba group which reportedly is linked to the Pakistan secret service ISI which reportedly works with the CIA and British intelligence.

Former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan Craig Murray slammed the so-called foiled plot story as "propaganda"

"None of the alleged terrorists had made a bomb. None had bought a plane ticket. Many did not even have passports, which given the efficiency of the UK Passport Agency would mean they couldn't be a plane bomber for quite some time," said Murray.

Jowell, UK government minister in charge of the London Olympics. Does she have links to the Mafia?

On 17 February 2009, UK government minister Tessa Jowell's husband David Mills was sentenced to four and a half years jail in Italy for corruption.

Mills was also fined €250,000 by a court in Milan for taking a bribe from Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi to give false evidence in two corruption trials.

Prosecutors said Mills used the money on a joint mortgage with Tessa Jowell to obtain a property in north London.

Mills is unlikely to go to jail as the case will go before two appeal courts and that has to be before February 2010, otherwise it passes the deadline for Italy's Statute of Limitations.

Berlusconi will escape because a law was passed in 2008 which made senior government figures immune from prosecution.

1. David Mills set up a company whose directors included Mr Dell'Utri who acted 'as the intermediary between Silvio Berlusconi's political party and the mafia'.

Mr Dell'Utri's 'mafia links began in his youth', a Palermo court heard, 'and in 1993 he met with the the mafia's governing Cupola to successfully solicit its vote-gathering powers on behalf of Mr Berlusconi'.

2. Did Blair's government try to protect Mills?

"Italian prosecution documents seen by The Times allege that the Home Office blatantly jeopardised an investigation designed to bring Mr Mills to trial.

"The prosecutors claimed that the Home Office had harmed their inquiry and a move to extradite Mr Mills, by revealing 'extremely sensitive information' to the Berlusconi Government — the targets of the probe.

"Simultaneously, the Serious Fraud Office suddenly stopped dealing directly with the prosecutors in Milan."

In the summer of 2002 Mills talked to Baroness Symons, then a Foreign Office minister, about his interests in Iran.

According to The Observer:

He was trying to broker a $200m deal to sell aircraft to Iran but the problem was that the US had strict sanctions prohibiting this. Mills explained the difficulty to his wife's colleague.

Symons asked him to drop her a letter - a copy of which was leaked last January and revealed how Symons had given him advice on proceeding with the deal.

The Observer has now obtained the original letter which Mills wrote to Symons on 9 July 2002, 10 days after the Oxford dinner.

Mills wrote: 'Dear Liz... I am sure HMG [government] will wish to offer such support as it can to smooth the path with our American friends...

'The ministerial code states that ministers must declare to their permanent secretary the financial interests of their spouses if they could appear to be a potential conflict of interest.

At the time Mills, who had travelled to Tehran, confirmed that he had discussed his Iranian work with Jowell, so she was aware of it.

When contacted by The Observer in May 2003 about the original potentially sanctions-busting deal, Mills initially claimed that Jowell's permanent secretary had been informed, but he later admitted that this was not the case.

5. In 1996, Mills set up banking arrangements to handle payments in a GBP 300 million military contract for the Ukraine to sell 320 tanks to Pakistan.

It was in the early 1980s, that Mills was put in charge of creating a complex web of offshore companies on behalf of Italian prime minister Berlusconi.

These companies were in tax havens such as Panama. Berlusconi, allegedly used these companies to evade tax, bribe judges and make illegal payments to footballers.

6. Back on 29 July 1999, Express Newspapers related:"THE husband of Health Minister Tessa Jowell is to be questioned by Scotland Yard as part of an investigation into a shipment of blood infected with the deadly HIV virus...

"Italian magistrates are investigating a London-based company which was behind the planned shipment of 25 tons of blood plasma worth up to £2million from a port in Italy.

"In another episode Mr Mills was caught up in a nuclear waste controversy. A company he had formed for clients was named in a Greenpeace report into toxic waste dumping at sea."

7. After Blair won the 1997 general election, he made Jowell his public health minister.

According to The Observer ( How the lawyer's pub deal brewed a storm of trouble ) :

At the time Jowell was involved in discussions with the drinks industry about a range of issues from relaxing drinking regulations to alcopops. She was also working on a white paper about the future of tobacco use that would see the government back away from banning smoking in pubs...

Documents obtained by The Observer reveal that on 8 February 1998, Mills used a company based in the British Virgin Islands to buy 90,895 shares in a little-known firm called the Old Monk Company...

The Old Monk Company is involved with pubs and drink.

Mills pumped £80,000 into the company...

Reportedly the shares were sold, on 3 September 1999, for £147,977.

Assuming the detailed evidence collected by the Italian prosecutor is accurate, this suggests that in a space of just 18 months while his wife was public health minister, Mills had turned a profit of £67,000 - a return of more than 80 per cent...

Opponents are likely to seize on this as an apparent conflict of interest that should have been declared.

The Observer article continues:

Within 18 months the Labour Party would be trying to secure votes at the 2001 General Election by sending out text messages to students saying: 'Cdnt give a XXXX 4 lst ordrs? Then vote Labour for extra time.' After Labour was returned to power, Jowell was promoted to Culture Secretary with the job of driving through the new drinking laws.

8. Jowell is to face questions over how she secured crucial Italian support for the 2012 London Games.

According to the Independent newspaper, sources from various cities in the 2012 bid said that powerful International Olympic Committee (IOC) member Mario Pescante, who as Italian Sports Minister was answerable to Berlusconi, became a surprise convert to London after initially backing it’s main rival Paris. The source said, “we were astounded and perplexed by his support for London. There was a belief that Berlusconi would virtually order Mr. Pescante to back London”.

One of Labour's election promises was to end tobacco sponsorship of sport.

In November 1997, it emerged that the British Government was trying to protect Formula 1 racing from an EU-wide ban. Mr Mills was both legal adviser to and a former director of Benetton Formula 1. His wife, as Minister for Public Health, was responsible for government policy on smoking.

It emerged that the Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone had secretly donated £1m to Labour funds.

Italian prosecutors began searching for the money trails leading to and from Silvio Berlusconi.

Mills gave evidence at Berlusconi's two trials, in 1997 and 1998.

10. Reportedly, Mills is linked to a corrupt land deal involving a convicted criminal.

In Milan yesterday, people close to the investigation spoke to the Financial Times.

They confirmed that they were investigating whether Mr Mills received up to $1m from Mr Berlusconi, a bigger sum than reported previously, in return for favourable testimony that he gave during corruption hearings against the Italian prime minister.

According to the prosecutors, who have used analysis conducted by KPMG, the audit firm, about $1m of the $2m transferred on the orders of the Bahamas group was used on business dealings with Diego Attanasio, a shipping magnate.

Of the rest, $600,000 was cycled through financial and legal groups in Gibraltar and Switzerland before being invested in various places including two hedge funds, Giano Capital and Torrey Global Offshore.

The remaining $400,000, they said, was diverted to bank accounts controlled by Mr Mills and still under investigation...

In shopping malls in Indonesia, just over 70% 0f visitors don't actually buy anything.

The majority of the population of Indonesia earn very little.

The elite are fabulously rich.

It's not so different from the USA and parts of Europe.

In Indonesia the military is all powerful, and it is they who keep down wages and who preserve the feudal system.

In the USA, it is the Pentagon and the CIA who pull the strings and who make sure that the ordinary citizens work hard for relatively low wages.

If wages rise, the shopping malls sell more goods and the factories prosper.

Indonesia, like the USA and EU, has a large internal market.

So, the recipe for improving the economy is:

1. Close down the military.

2. Raise the minimum wage.

3. Make sure the rich pay their taxes.

4. Spend more on infrastructure.

In China the share of wages dropped from 53% in 1998 to 40% in 2007.

According to The Economist, "a raft of government policies will have to change to lift households’ share of national income."

In Asia, a lack of free medical care and lack of free schooling means that people have to save a high proportion of their income.

"Higher public spending on health, education and welfare support could encourage households to save less and spend more."

In the USA, the same applies.

"The recent news that China plans to spend 850 billion yuan ($125 billion) over the next three years to provide basic health care for at least 90% of the population by 2011 is therefore welcome."

THE USA

With George W Bush as president, the number of Americans living in severe poverty has increased dramatically.

Nearly 16 million Americans now live on an individual income of less than $5,000 (£2,500) a year or a family income of less than $10,000 (£5,000). (news.independent.co.uk)

The number of Americans living in extreme poverty has grown by 26% since 2000.

In the USA, poverty as a whole has worsened and the number of severe poor is growing 56% faster than the overall segment of the population characterised as poor - about 37 million people. (news.independent.co.uk)

BRITAIN

According to the Joseph Rowntree Foundation ( Wealth inequality 'at 40-year high' ) :

1. Britain is becoming a segregated society.

2. The gap between rich and poor has reached its highest level for more than 40 years.

3. During the past 15 years there has been an increase in the number of households living below the poverty line.

4. Households below the poverty line now account for more than half of all families in parts of some cities.

5. In parts of some cities more than half of all households are now "breadline poor" - enough to live on but no access to opportunities enjoyed by the rest of society.

6. Households in already wealthy areas have tended to become disproportionately wealthier.

7. Many rich people now live in areas segregated from the rest of society.

In the Calton district of Glasgow, male life expectancy is 53.9 years, almost ten years fewer than in Bangladesh.

However, life in Bangladesh can be worse than in Britain.

BANGLADESH

Large western companies like Tesco like to get cheap clothing from Bangladesh.

Tesco's chief executive Terry Leahy is a special adviser to the British government on business matters.

The Guardian (High price paid for cheap UK clothes ) explained on 15 July 2007:

1. Workers at factories supplying clothes to Asda (Walmart), Tesco and Primark told the Guardian that they were paid well below the £22 a month considered by experts to be the minimum living wage.

2. Mahbubur, 20, a machine operator, earns £16 a month, but he said apprentices or helpers in his factory earn only £9. His basic hours are 8am to 8pm, six days a week, but overtime, sometimes through the night, is compulsory.

What are we to think of Tesco, Walmart and similar companies?

There is a suspicion that the Muslim Brotherhood, and its offshoots such as Hamas and Hezbollah, work to the advantage of Israel and its friends.

It has been reported that the CIA and MI6 have used the Muslim Brotherhood to weaken countries such as Egypt, Syria, and Iran. (aangirfan: The Shah of Iran was toppled by the CIA and MI6?)

Abdel-Moneim Said, on 12 February 2009, at Al-Ahram Weekly, wrote Illusions of the phoenix.

He argues that throughout the recent crisis in Gaza, the Muslim Brotherhood "failed to pay even lip service to Egyptian national interests."

Among the points made:

1. Egypt tried to maintain the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

Egypt warned Hamas not to resume the firing of missiles.

Hamas wrongly believed that any invasion would last no more than 3 days.

2. There has been a well orchestrated propaganda campaign against Egypt.

It began when the Iranian "masses" attacked the Egyptian Embassy in Tehran.

Anti-Egyptian slogans were shouted in Damascus, Beirut and other capitals.

3. The Rafah border crossing between Egypt and Gaza is of key importance.

"Egypt sustained the movement of food and medicine across that border, sometimes with Israel's cooperation but more often in defiance of Israel.

"Yet Hamas kept up its attack on Egypt.

"It staged a mass breakthrough into Egyptian territory, it boycotted the signing of a reconciliation agreement with Fatah and then started a war that could not have been more poorly planned and timed, coming when the Palestinian rift was at its most fraught."

4. During the Israeli attack, Egypt was the only country to:

1. actively campaign for a ceasefire.

2. furnish aid to the Palestinians.

3. push for the passage and subsequent implementation of a Security Council resolution and ceasefire.

4. prepare for the reconstruction of Gaza.

"Other Arab and Muslim governments did nothing beyond staging demonstrations and issuing anti-Egyptian statements."

5. How did the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood react to all this?

They joined anti-Egyptian demonstrators.

The Brotherhood did not call upon Tehran to launch any of its long-range missiles during the battle.

Nor did it urge Syria or Hizbullah to open a second front, even though portions of their territory remain occupied.

Nor did it suggest that Turkey sever diplomatic relations with Israel and stop sending it spare parts for its war planes.

Claudia Mullen gave testimony that Dr. Sidney Gottlieb (of MKULTRA fame) used chemicals, radiation, hypnosis, drugs, isolation in tubs of water, sleep deprivation, electric shock, brainwashing and emotional, sexual and verbal abuse as part of mind control experiments that had the ultimate objective of turning her, who was only a child at the time, into the "perfect spy."

She told the advisory committee that researchers justified this abuse by telling her that she was serving her country "in their bold effort to fight Communism."

Suzanne Starr stated that "a physician, who was retired from the military, got children from the mountains of Colorado for experiments."

She said she was one of those children and that she was the victim of experiments involving environmental deprivation to the point of forced psychosis, spin programming, injections, rape and frequent electroshock and mind control sessions.

Tunisia and child sacrifice

Tunisia is full of history.

The Carthaginian Empire

If you go on holiday to Tunisia, it is worth learning a little bit about the Carthiginians, a people who allegedly went in for child sacrifice.

Tunisia was once ruled by the Carthaginians, who are thought to have come originally from the Lebanon area.

The Carthaginians are said to have come originaly from Phoenicia, also known as Canaan, where Lebanon is today.

In Sousse, Carthaginian crematoria contain the ashes of hundreds of 'murdered' children.

Allegedly, these children were strangled in sacrifice to the gods in times of national or personal misfortune.

Carthage was criticized by its neighbors for child sacrifice.

Plutarch (c. 46–120) mentions the practice. The Hebrews mention the practise.

Both the Romans and the Hebrews saw the Phoenicians as enemies and so they cannot necessarily be trusted in this matter. It was King Herod "The Great Child Killer" who destroyed all the first born.

The killing of children was common in ancient Greece and Rome but for economic rather than religious reasons. (Life in Carthage by Gilbert and Colette Charels-Picard pp149-50)

This building in Monastir was one of the filming locations for Monty Python's Life Of Brian.

It has been argued that the reports of Carthaginian child sacrifice were Roman inventions, used to justify the Roman destruction of Carthage.

These Carthaginian cemeteries may have been used as graves for stillborn infants or children who died very early.

Modern archeological excavations have been interpreted by some as confirming Plutarch's reports of Carthaginian child sacrifice. (Kelly A. MacFarlane, University of Alberta, Hittites and Phoenician)

In a single child cemetery called the Tophet, an estimated 20,000 urns were deposited between 400 BC and 200 BC, with the practice continuing until the early years of the Christian period.

The urns contained the charred bones of babies and 2-year-olds.

But most the child urns found in Carthage contain bones of fetuses, therefore of still born babies.

These remains have been interpreted by some to mean that after the birth of stillborn babies, the parents would sacrifice their youngest child.

In bad times (war, poor harvests) cremations became more frequent.

Bad times might have inspired the Carthaginians to obtain divine intervention via child sacrifice.

Or bad times may simply have increased child deaths from natural causes.

Professor Piero Bartoloni, Head of the Department of Phoenician-Punic Archaeology at Universita' di Sassari, Italy, relates: "In ancient times, for every ten children that were born, seven died within the first year and out of the remained three, only one became an adult. Now I ask: is it reasonable that, with such a high level of infant mortality, these people killed their own children?"

According to those who criticised the Phoenicians, children were sacrificed to the god Baal Hammon and the godess Tanit.

According to the critics:

Carthaginians began to buy children for the purpose of sacrifice or even to raise servant children instead of offering up their own.

However, in times of crisis or calamity, like war, drought or famine, their priests demanded the flower of their youth.

Special ceremonies during extreme crisis saw up to 200 children of the most affluent and powerful families slain and tossed into the burning pyre.

The few Carthaginian texts which have survived make absolutely no mention of child sacrifice, though most of them relate to matters entirely unrelated to religion, such as the practice of agriculture.

In 146 B.C., Rome wiped the Carthaginian capital off the map.

According to Rehman Malik, Pakistan's top interior ministry official, funds for the Mumbai attack were transferred from Italy and Spain.

Austrian SIM cards were used for some of the mobile phones used by the terrorists.

Reportedly, a Pakistan government report was leaked to local television networks in Pakistan.

Iqbal Mirchi is wanted by police in India for murder and his part in a terrorist bombing campaign.

Bombs in Mumbai in 1993 killed over 300 people. Mirchi's name was linked to the bombings.

According to Mirchi: 'a senior police officer told me that my name would be attached to false charges unless I paid millions of rupees in bribes. I refused and moved to Dubai. '

A Pakistani lawyer C M Farooque claims that alleged Mumbai gunman Ajmal Kasab, and almost 200 other people, were arrested by the Indian and Nepalese authorities in Nepal before 2006.

Lt Colonel Srikant Purohit, from Indian military intelligence, was reportedly involved in several blasts.

When bombs go off in India there is a tendency to blame Moslems.

However, the evidence points to the terror being the work of people within the Indian military, the Hindu fascist movement, and the CIA and its friends.

The September 2006 Malegaon bombings were a series of bomb blasts that took place in Malegaon, a town in the Indian state of Maharashtra, some 290 km to the northeast of Mumbai.

The explosions killed at least 37 people.

According to Maharashtra Police, in November 2006, the blasts were the work of the Student Islamic Movement of India.[1]

However, on 8 November, 2008, the Maharashtra Anti Terror Squad revealed that Lt Colonel Srikant Purohit of the Indian military was involved in a blast that killed people in Malegaon in September 2007.

The Anti Terror Squad has also found out that Purohit attended secret meetings of the 'fascist' Hindu group Abhinav Bharat.

The Transparency International Indonesia corruption report for 2008 ranks Indonesian towns according to the perceptions businessmen have of the extent to which local governments fight against corruption and made it easier to start and do business (Research: Kupang most Indonesian corrupt city):

Yudhoyono may form a coalition with most if not all of the country's Islamic parties in order to win a majority vote against the secular PDIP which is allied with the secular Golkar Party

PDIP is the party of Sukarno's daughter, Megawati.

Golkar is the party of former president Suharto.

The USA supports Yudhoyono and prefers him to the nationalist Megawati.

The PKS party in indonesia is a Moslem party and it is suspected of being linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, and hence to the CIA and its friends.

The book suggests that, in Indonesia, fanatical Islam may have become a stronger force than globalisation.

The 'Fanatic' is Herry Nurdi who reportedly worries about Christian evangelists, Mossad, Zionists, freemasons and George Bush.

Dhume tells us that 'fanatics' like Nurdi do not like Yudhoyono, the former Suharto general who became Indonesia's president in 2004.

Herry believes that the American-trained Yudhoyono is backed by America.

Herry prefers General Wiranto, whose wife has worn full Islamic dress, including the headscarf.

Herry comes across as someone who is quite likeable but somewhat poorly educated and somewhat naive, especially about people like Wiranto.

Herry seems not to have considered that members of the rich elite promote Islamisation in order to keep themselves in power.

Dhume refers in his book to 'the cheaply earned moral smugness of the jilbab' (headscarf) .... 'shorthand in my mind for some education and little imagination.'

American lawyers are hoping to expose the defence firm that allegedly carried out the practice of "rendition" on behalf of the CIA.

Jeppesen Dataplan, a Boeing subsidiary, reportedly helped to arrange rendition flights, including that of Binyam.

6. The UK Attorney General says the UK is "actively considering" possible criminal wrongdoings against MI5 and the CIA.
