FLU AND ELECTIONS IN UKRAINE

Yushchenko

The Ukraine has flu and elections.

Flu has meant that campaigning for Ukraine's presidential contest in January 2010 has been postponed.

"Observers said the far-reaching moves to combat the illness are partly rooted in the political rivalry between Victor Yushchenko, president, and Yulia Tymoshenko, his prime minister, with each trying to outdo the other in the handling of the outbreak." (Ukraine acts to fight swine flu)

On 2 November 2009, dprogram reported "An order from President Yushchenko is expected soon that will effectively place Ukraine under 'martial law'." (Panic in Ukraine, Authorities deny aircraft are spraying aerosols over cities, Martial Law expected)

Yushchenko is seen as being pro-USA and anti-Russia.

Yushchenko is regarded as being unpopular in the Ukraine and unlikely to win an election. (Ukraine Today - An Independent Political Review: Pifer Prediction ...)

The International Monetary Fund has warned that it could cut financial assistance to Ukraine after its government, on 30 October 2009, put up wages and pensions! (IMF warns Ukraine on aid )

Viktor Yushchenko, Ukraine’s president, signed the increases into law, ignoring warnings from the IMF and Yulia Tymoshenko, his prime minister and bitter rival.

The presidential election could determine whether Ukraine is to be in the US or Russian sphere of influence.

On 14 August 2009, The Daily Mail reported on the dramatic seizure of a man called Joseph Moshe who had 'threatened to blow up the White House'. He is Tasered by police after an eight-hour stand-off

Acording to a post at forums of GodlikeProductions.com:

"Joseph Moshe (Moshe is the man's middle name) is a bio-scientist.

"He works (worked?) for a unit within Mossad. He is an Israeli citizen...

"Moshe did not send a threat to the White House.

"Rather, he communicated that he intended to go public with information he had regarding the flu vaccine that is being prepared by Baxter Labs, an Austrian company.

"The information is this: The vaccine is being manufactured in Ukraine.

"It is not a vaccine at all, but rather an engineered genetically mutated bio-weapon meant to cause sickness and death.

"Moshe informed the White House he intended to go public with this information.

"When he became aware that the FBI was about to detain him, he packed some belongings in his car and set out for the Israeli consulate, located in close proximity to the federal building where the standoff took place. FBI pursuit kept him from reaching his destination.

"Mounted on top of the large black vehicle was a microwave weapon which fried the electronics in Moshe's car as well as any communication devices he had which might have been used to contact the media or others who could help him...

"After leaving police or FBI custody, he returned to Israel, where he is at this time." (The Strange Case of Joseph Moshe - The Swine Flu Global Eugenics.)

Who is Joseph Moshe?

"Joseph Moshe, called into the Dr True Ott Show on Republic Broadcasting and said he was a microbiologist who wanted to hand over evidence to a States Attorney regarding tainted H1N1 vaccines being produced by Baxter pharmaceutical.

"He claimed that that Baxter’s lab in the Ukraine was in fact preparing a bioweapon disguised as a vaccine.

"He maintained that the vaccine contained both adjuvants designed to weaken the immune system, and replicated RNA from the virus responsible for the 1918 global pandemic." (Who is Joseph Moshe?)

Ukraine has started its election campaign

"There are pedophiles in Ukraine’s high offices," says President Yushchenko (pedophile lawmakers will be saved from prosecution.)

In early October 2009, supporters of the frontrunner in the Ukraine elections, ex-premier Viktor Yanukovich, alleged that members of Prime Minster Yulia Tymoshenko's competing party were implicated in a child abuse case at a kids' summer camp in Crimea.

Tymoshenko

"Tymoshenko is seen as pro-European - though also known for her shifting allegiances - while Yanukovich heads the pro-Moscow Regions Party." - (Ukraine sex scandals sully presidential campaign)

"The pedophile scandal, from the start, demolished the lives of two children and cast doubts on the honor and career prospects of several adults, including some parliament deputies...

"The horrific accusations against a journalist, three parliamentarians and managers of the Crimean children’s camp, Artek, proved believable to many people." - (Media fail their first campaign test in coverage of sex abuse scandal)

Yanukovich, who is pro-Moscow.

Ukraine's Orange Revolution looked like a CIA operation to replace a set of pro-Russian oligarchs with a set of pro-American oligarchs.

Ian Traynor, in The Guardian 26 November 2004 (US campaign behind the turmoil in Kiev.), described the Ukraine's Orange Revolution as 'an American creation, a sophisticated and brilliantly conceived exercise in western branding and mass marketing..."

Artek children's camp has been linked to the Ukraine elections.

Western Ukraine has been hit hard with 70 deaths in Ukraine (37 deaths  in the Lviv region alone) attributed to the flue.  Concern that the H1N1 and AH1N1 Swine Flue strains is on the increase throughout Europe.

Ukraine's politicians are quick to make their mark in what appears to be a contest of who can out do the other in seeking media attention amidst concern that the Politicians may be fueling panic.  The Heath Minister has asked Politicians to refrain from giving medical advise.

Ukraine has closed schools for one week, Yushchenko has officially asked for International help in the supply of Tamiflue medication and vaccines. Yulia Tymoshenko has ordered 2 million masks to be made by Ukraine's prisoners. Tymoshenko has spent 50 million buying Tamiflu medication

Kyiv's Mayor, Leonid Chernovetsky, has asked fans not to attend the Champions League football match between Dynamo Kyiv and Inter Milan to be held tomorrow (November 4). A big ask given that 90% of the tickets have already been sold and hotels and accommodation booked.

Public transport has taken steps to limit the spread of infections and boarder guards at the Ukrainian Romanian Boarder given strict instructions to vet and potential carries from Western Ukraine crossing the border.

Not to miss an opportunity to make a quick buck local drug stores reportedly have cashed in on the local demand for medication with Prime-minister Yulia Tymoshchenko threatening to seek criminal prosecution of drugstore owners taking avantage of the situation.

There is ongoing concern at the extent of rubbish that is left lying out in
the open streets, parkland and rivers catchments, a vast breeding
ground for viral infections.

The WHO (World Heath Organization) has sent in a team of experts to monitor the situation.

Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn has said that the problem with the flu epidemic in Ukraine is being politicized.
"The flu epidemic in our country will end after the presidential campaign,"

If the flue gets hold and more people become infected then there is a possibility that Yushchenko will call a state of emergency and it may effect the Presidential election campaign itself. Some say Yushchenko is itching to find any excuse to delay or cancel the elections so he can stay in office that little bit longer.  It's bad enough that Ukraine needs to come out and cast their vote in the middle of Ukraine's winter but with the potential scare of contracting a virus whilst standing in line will not help Ukraine exercise its democratic rights. Ukraine was meant to have gone to the polls the weekend before last but Yushchenko objected to an October poll and forced Ukraine to hold a January election instead.

And  the Harvard crimson considers the Ukrainian government’s response to H1N1 is excessive.

Ukraine's best hope now is to pray for an early winter in hope that the virus will not survive Ukraine's bitter cold winters. Everything looks good and clean when covered in snow.
